My friends healthy 26 year old daughter died from MRSA. They thought it was nothing to worry about, "just a boil" and got her to a doc too late. It's a badass thing and not to be messed with.
I've been spraying the innards of my booties with rubbing alcohol. Kills germs, microbes, bacteria, brain cells... Just put it in a spray bottle and spritz away.
best thing to get rid of the funk smell , is go to the dollar store grab cheap mouth wash as pour a shot into the boot and shake well , rinse good , let drip dry then stuff newspapers into it them . funk smell not so bad , and 85 percent dry . And always remember to bring bottles of hot water to the beach , rap them in the 4/3 or 3/2 , pour it down the suit after a session . now thats nice .
Baby Shampoo. Works like a charm. I usually do my soots and boots every other week. My girlfriend gives me so much sh.t for the smell in our apt...
To get rid of the stink- i just use wetsuit shampoo that you can buy on Amazon or at a dive shop - the o'neil shampoo (which I can't find anymore) use to make the neoprene feel and smell new- like a surf shop I just hang my suite in the basement near the dehumidifier- it does the trick in a day or so. Have one of those peet boot driers but I think the heat ruined a pair of my booties so I don't use it any more for wetsuite

There is NOTHING NEW in that article, except for you, the uninformed in that field. BTW, there have been "super-bugs" since life first arose on the planet. Antibiotics are only ONE form of evolutionary pressure. Susceptibility studies demonstrate that since they were first done (Koch, et al). Washington Post is not where I get my information for infectious disease. Go to the "Journal of Infectious Diseases", or, Respiratory and Critical Care. Your lay authors usually get it wrong.
There's only one place to go for cutting-edge medicale advise, burry & that's righte here on The Forume.
