Stopped by the Burley Oak brewery this afternoon and picked up a 32 ounce can (they have the canning machine at the bar) of their collaboration beer with Dogfish Head. Its a strong dark brown strong beer with some sour notes from beach plum. meh...
Haven't been there yet (monkey paw). I'm not a fan of sculpin, or any of BP really. Their story is pretty cool though, def respect them. Been in the brew game for a while! If you are ever in SD hit up society brewery. Is off clairemont Mesa Blvd in Kearny Mesa. Great beer!
Hey man, and all y'all, actually. Give Bells "two hearted ale" a shot. I think you might enjoy one or six. Their Amber ale is also really good... Also their Oarman's ale... But if you're an ipa fan then two hearted is where it just might be at.
Troegs Nugget Nectar- Aber/Imperial ale- hoppy goodness - only out for a short time -try it if you can
Hey Z, for $17, I wouldn't be impressed by the nectar of the gawds. Steep! Although Sculpin ain't cheap, true. Will try the recs for the SAN breweries next time I'm out west. Agree with T, the Bell's Two Hearted is a quality quaff. As is something from up your way, Z, that being Loose Cannon. Ay matey, avast there & bring the swill!
Hayduke Pale Ale. Batch 1, Wakefield Rhode island like a pale ale but with more swill and less hipster
2 Montauk offland IPA's and a dozen real deal buffalo wings for lunch. My lips are burning, my nose and eyes are watering, my head is swimming and my @sshole will feel the fury later for sure. was it worth it. damn right. Now I'm going to do some fu(kin payroll.
Dogfish olde school. Aged 1 year plus. One of the best barleywines. Waiting around for more surf like last week.
Just a couple cold Buds on a Wednesday night watching some hockey. Clean, crisp, but almost tasteless swill. I like it.
Barry makes chicks pee on him before he pays... First pee, then cash, then they get on to the nasty sh!t
I take it Lent? My friend gave up beer, and I'm trying to cut out alcohol to weekends only... Thank God It's Friday...
