Yea I wouldn't drive it's still not consistent. This morning around 7 certain bars were good but only for a couple hours. The tide throws it around a lot and if you miss it chances are you missed it for good

Was 200 feet from a great white in 2013 right out front here! It attacked a large horse head seal! After the first bite it swam towards my area! It turned around and went back to finish his meal after it knew the seal was dead and no longer a threat! Easily the scariest moment of my life and I've skydived once, that was sec! Beautiful beach but now it's full of seals! A photographer took a photo of the seal being attacked! Pure luck he told me while he showed me the pic. Bruce@katecod.com/shark! 2 pics, shark and 2 surfers getting out! Top left is the blood pool those two had to paddle through! Arrow left for shark!

    Red dog,
It's Unbelievable how many seals there are there now. At low tide they chill on the bar and at any given point there are at least 300. I remember that incident, i paddled out later that day then my dad showed me. since then I've seen three sharks from land, been in the water 30 yards away, and watched two seals get whacked (one from the water). A buddy of mine was surfing in a group of 4 in a square formation no more than 10 feet from each other and a shark (later caught and tagged at 20 feet!) popped a seal right in between them. They were showered in blood. They said the thing just went off like a grenade. Scary stuff.

Last year I went down the fri am of Labor Day! Board in hand, not one surfer but at least 100 seals! Usually there's a couple seals and 20 surfers! I knew that animal was behind that sand bar! I watched the sunrise and went back to yarmouth! Eerie as hell so I wussy out! Back in 2013, 2 weeks after that attack I went back surfing! We all circled up while this guy was saying a prayer! I thought to myself, WTF am I doing!
