The shipping is BS I complained and they sent me a new rear truck for free since I had the older version anyway. I would send an email and plead your case. Also try a local surf/skate shop they may be able to order it for you and save you $$ on shipping.

Been shreddin the resin whenever possible (probably going to need a new board soon, on its 3rd year of heavy use). Have yet to get in a bowl but been messing around on a little quarter pipe and street aprons to get some "wave" simulation. Im still on the stock roundhouse... been looking to move onto another wheel though because that shipping is bananas. I like the 70mm size and can slide no problem, looking for a wheel that i can rotate around the board to let them wear evenly and get the most longevity.

OS - when you say you're looking for another wheel, can you further detail what you'd like out of it? I've road everything on Carvers from Seven-O's to SPFs.

BTW, I'm ready to sell the 34" Green Room if anyone's interested. Just lived up the C7 with speed cream and threw a new set of Bones Reds in there.

Anyone else riding Carvers in parks? I do the daily carve up and down the street but I'm really getting into riding 'em in bowls. For the parks I'm digging the longer models - esp. the (sadly discontinued) flowmaster.

    Oh yeah, current Carver quiver:

    Venice (36") + C7, orig. wheels.
Hot Dogger (42") + CX, orig. wheels.
    Flowmaster (41") + C7, ABEC11 No Skoolz 65 mm / 88a.

I would like something similar to the roundhouse, I just cant deal with carvers shipping. Like I stated previously I would like a wheel that I can rotate for even wear so something with the bearing seat centered and not too deep in one side like some of the O-tangs are..

    Emazz,

How much for the green room? I'm in Philly, would you ship if it worked out? Thanks.

I've been cruising da monsta c7 for a year or so and just ordered a Proteous cx4. I was unaware of the cx4 and then saw the vid on the carver site of the dude man killing it on a 20' x 20' slab. Not to mention the new concave roundhouse wheels.

After a flat summer here in the mid Atlantic, time to get in shape for winter swells and powder days. Bring it on El Niño, just leave the rain elsewhere.

So, Slashie the skeptic finally picked up one of these bad boys. Here I am, after all my sh*t talking, with a Carver of my own. I got a Resin model, gently used. $70 off of Craigslist. It has 'DEMO' spraypainted on it.

Basically, it's kind of fun. I've had it for almost a month and I think I've skated it 3 or 4 times. First, around the block, and I gotta admit, I felt like a wackasz goofball. Next couple of times, I took it out when I went for a surf, cruised uptown and back. This was cool but this thing is heavy as f*ck, and with a wetsuit, backpack, and surfboard in tow- it's kind of a b*tch to carry around.

It's just chilling there on my wall now. My regular deck is right next to it, and every time I go skating, I give the Carver a look of indifference, grab my skateboard, and head down the block.

The pumping thing is cool, but if you already spend a lot of time street skating... or skate through traffic in the city ... it's hard to justify grabbing the Carver over the 'ol tried and true. I know it's supposed to be a 'surf trainer' but I can't justify 'training' when I could just go skate.

Today was my first time riding it what a difference over the freestyle boards a long boards I'd ridden before. Def the closest thing to surfing without getting wet

Carver is a different style skating...I have a regular board, but when I want some serious exercise on the flats, with a surf feel...I grab the carver...I have more fun on the carver...bowls and pipes, I will grab the regular skate, which I just don't do much of anymore...fraid I would brake a bone now.

Slash, great to hear you finally gave er a go. I've got a couple of the demos and that gives it extra character. Good buy and glad you dug it some.

Yes, the decks are heavy as sin. But durable as all hell. As several of you know, I've tried it all on Carvers - most all their decks, their different trucks, all types of bearings, and all types of wheels. Since July 2013, I've easily logged 1,000 hours on these trucks. Done so on all three U.S. coasts and from mountain to desert in between and in the park, on the street, and both up and down hills. I've got a healthy cross-section to draw a perspective from.

Best, by far, is the CX.4 on a badass Black Label deck. Got it for $15 from a cat at Pl**sur* P**nt in SC that had some yard sale of sorts set up on the sidewalk. It had everything I knew I wanted for a while - reasonable length right around 31-32", extra width (but not too much) at just over 9", double-flip, gas pedals, and wider wheelbase. Dude. This aforementioned combo is elusive, I tried to find it EVERYWHERE for three years, but only some geezer on the street in Santa Cruz had one in old school format.

With the CX.4 and PP Bomber wheels on that deck, you've got the best of all worlds - you can pump like a surfboard just as you do on a C7 truck, you can ollie and kick flip and maneuver like a traditional skate given the much lighter weight of the regular deck and CX.4 truck, you slide easily but get grip when you need it, you get stoked uphill, downhill, in a bowl and in a pool.

Try that type of setup bud. It's all I ride now aside from the Carver Fraktal 32". I even kept the $15 price tag written on masking tape on the bottom. Figured it was fitting.

Slash, imagine surfing the streets but also boosting at will and grinding/sliding any object in sight. Give it another try with the suggested setup. You won't turn back.

To the thread that never gets old!

Last year thought about picking up a carver but didn't end up going through with it. Recently picked up my old home made board (seriously a 30" piece of wood with trucks & wheels on it) been having a blast but ready to upgrade. Also tax refunds are soon so time to splurge*

I've read through all 35 pages but didn't see any mention of the "Stacked" model..any one have one? Looking at that one, Resin & the infamous Green Room (all with a c7). Should I go smaller? I'm 5'6" and my current go-to board is 5'7 if this info applies to anything. Any suggestions from the experts at SI?
