Obviously the "war on drugs" has failed to protect society at large and has caused more harm than good to the general public. To continue the current failed policies is foolish at best. I know a few officers who are for legalizing weed but don't think they would be behind legalizing hard drugs like meth, heroin and cocaine. I personally believe alcohol is as dangerous as any drug and it is legal. Lets face it a lot of people from all walks of life will at some point in life use illegal drugs. I don't believe locking up people and destroying otherwise productive peoples lives and families is the answer.

Agreed, only punish those that commit actual crimes. Getting high isn't a crime.

Well, not surprised Obama has surrendered. He is such a wimp it is pathetic.
But, it should have been done 20 years ago, by other wimps.

Similar to my junk, I kinda lean left on the subject of drug legalization. However, unlike weed, alcohol or Coke, you will find very few contributing members of society that are addicted to meth or morphine derivatives.

We should continue to cherry pick what becomes legal in the US

I don't mess with anything but herb so as long as that's legal I'm happy

IMHO meth wouldn't even exist if Coke was decriminalized all along. The opiate derivite problem was basically created by Big Pharma. Look at countries like Switzerland where drugs are decriminalized, they Don't have an addiction epidemic like the US. Part of the problem in this country is the general unhappiness and depression created by people trying to conform to fake societal stands and the inability to live up to them.

99% of the crime is created by the criminalization.

You guys are a bunch of commie terrorists. The war on drugs creates jobs, and that's the most important thing. What are all those DEA agents going to do if there's no war?

I mean, look at what happened to Amsterdam. No one goes to Amsterdam anymore...chaos in the streets, gunfights, drug crazed lunatics raping and pillaging everywhere. It's worse than Syria.
