Debate you?? Debate?? I expressed a minor factual point of view. There are so many chinks in your armor, debating would NOT be in your interest.
Then back it up, or back da fuk up. I get a feeling you love to stir up controversy to fill in the gap of an uneventful existence. Oh Barry
Back "it" up? Which "it"? You babble on endlessly quoting the very organizations you claim you dislike. You have not expressed one, not one, original thought. You read something, then try to make readers here believe it is your original thought. It is called plagiarism, arch, nothing more. That is why you are not worth "debating". For me, you are turning into a waste of time, and probably a waste of human protoplasm (hahahaha!!). Your posts reveal you have no science training whatsoever. None. Zilch. Nada. Having said that, carry on.
Don't know enough on this subject to "debate" it. But, is there a study that shows GMOs actually cause cancer. I'm talking about the gene alteration being the cause of cancer. Not, the herbicides used in conjunction with GMO studies (seems to me the chemicals used...herbicides etc that have been used for decades or longer are the biggest risk). Can you imagine growing enough food for humanity organically (GMOs aside). I grow organically in my garden and the results are mixed due to a number of factors ( and I'm pretty good at it). No way in hell all of humanity could live and survive or their own. I feel I would do ok for quite sometime but the masses around the large population areas would enter a state of chaos.
Does it say that GMOs cause cancer or that glyphosate does? Maybe I missed it, but I thought it was saying that pesticides cause cancer
Mang, it looks to me like it's saying Roundup causes cancer. Where does it say GMOs do... Again, I am not defending them. Just asking. Abstract: Glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup®, is the most popular herbicide used worldwide. The industry asserts it is minimally toxic to humans, but here we argue otherwise. Residues are found in the main foods of the Western diet, comprised primarily of sugar, corn, soy and wheat. Glyphosate's inhibition of cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzymes is an overlooked component of its toxicity to mammals. CYP enzymes play crucial roles in biology, one of which is to detoxify xenobiotics. Thus, glyphosate enhances the damaging effects of other food borne chemical residues and environmental toxins. Negative impact on the body is insidious and manifests slowly over time as inflammation damages cellular systems throughout the body. Here, we show how interference with CYP enzymes acts synergistically with disruption of the biosynthesis of aromatic amino acids by gut bacteria, as well as impairment in serum sulfate transport. Consequences are most of the diseases and conditions associated with a Western diet, which include gastrointestinal disorders, obesity, diabetes, heart disease, depression, autism, infertility, cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. We explain the documented effects of glyphosate and its ability to induce disease, and we show that glyphosate is the “textbook example” of exogenous semiotic entropy: the disruption of homeostasis by environmental toxins.
The GMO crop contains pesticide. By: Marian Bleeke, Fate and Metabolism Platform Lead, Monsanto Company on Thursday, 10/17/2013 7:02 pm Importantly, since crops tolerant to herbicides such as glyphosate are very popular among farmers, spraying of glyphosate could lead to residues of the active ingredient in the forage or grain that is consumed by animals or humans. When farmers spray fields to eliminate weeds that compete with the crop and reduce yield, the vast majority of the glyphosate enters plants through the leaves. https://gmoanswers.com/ask/how-much...bed-freshly-planted-gm-seeds-residual-amounts
The notion that GMO crops have higher yields than organic crops is a myth. There are two reasons for this. one: too many people are willingly dependent on someone else to grow their food. two: many impoverished countries have the resources to grow plenty of food but they don't have the means to. As far as the GMO specifically and not the pesticide, i don't know if any study was even conducted. o On the other hand GMO crop production relies on the spraying of pesticide, and the crop absorbs it. I did find an approved study showing genetic mutation due to pesticides, and I will add it to the OG post. http://ehjournal.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12940-015-0056-1
Can you imagine growing enough food for humanity organically (GMOs aside). The notion that GMO crops have higher yields than organic crops is a myth. What's the purpose of GMO if not for their higher yields? To me it's always been demand ($$$$more).
Who controls the GMO's? Very few corporations. Who are the very few corporations in bed with? World Leaders and International banks. Get the picture? That's why some impoverished countries with plentiful resources have famine problems.
Lol..."get the picture". So, creating more food for the masses to consume is controlling? (Btw, don't be a dik ) I was just curious. Impoverished countries' political leaders and the developed countries are very different. Also, two impoverished nations are not necessarily managing their resources the same way. (I know you said some). How does one live off the grid and provide for ones self without resources (in your case the almighty $)? Your hell bent on an argument as nynj destroyed your thread title's premise (and I eluded to in my question but like I said not looking to debate I was just asking and making some comments.
Wtf Archy, get it together. You can't spray Roundup on non- GMO crops, it kills them. That's the whole point.
WTF you guys dont have a sense of humor? Do your own fukin research instead of asking someone else to do it for you! Oh I'm forgetting, I'm dealing with system loving nanny staters.
