You're the leader of a tribe. Along comes another tribe, known to you & your people, and they are starving, thirsty, children suffering. Yet, you, because you are the leader, and other leaders within your tribe, understand full well that the tribe you are observing in misery are, in fact, people who have as their tenets your destruction because you do not abide by their beliefs. Question for you, leader: do you ell your warriors to stand down? do you let the tribe into your camp? Do you feed & water their people, their pack animals? Knowing full well that they will, without a doubt as proven by their track record, gain strength due to your efforts to help them in their time of need, turn on your people, assault, rape & murder your women, destroy your warriors, demolish your way of life? You are a corrupt and / or foolish 'leader' if you cannot see what lies in store for your people. You are a true leader if you see the path in front of you & your people who have entrusted you to make the difficult, correct decisions. This is why you are a leader. You must make the tough, the difficult decisions. You close your encampment to the starving & thirsty tribe who will seek to destroy your people after you assist them.
Exactly correct. And why is it that our present day leaders have such difficulty with such an easy concept?? Answer: Because they are NOT leaders, but rather, followers, at best.
My question is following who? Belgium bombers were allowed to roam freely even though they were known radicals on an international terrorist watch list. Same with Paris bombers. Sweden is using tax payer money to house, feed, medical care for ISIS militants. http://swedenreport.org/tag/isis/ The US us doing the same. We catch illegal immigrants already known for crimes, only to release them back into society where they get free stuff on tax payer dime and commit more crimes. There is no plan to stop it. Only a plan to create an environment for these things to happen. Think I'm some crazy conspiracy theorist about this subject. The proof is right before your eyes. What does the naturalized citizen gain from this? Increased police and military presence, increase survailence, less rights.
Speak for yourself. I am my own master. That's a big problem in this country. We look to others for leadership.
Not really, Yankee's post is incredibly reductionist. People are assuming that muslim refugees are terrorists, and in response, want to deny them entry. Leaders must make tough decisions to protect the tribe ... well what about protecting us from rapists? We know for a fact that the average age of a rapist is 31. Should we stop 31 year old males from entering the country? 30% of rapists are intoxicated. Should we ban alcohol and marijuana in order to protect people? If a 'leader' suggested these laws, you would think they were ridiculous. But these laws would be based on more accurate and verifiable information than any law against muslim refugees. True leaders can look beyond the hysteria of the mass media, and the fears of the people. Pope Francis is washing the feet of Muslim refugees- literally- and calling for peace. All Muslims don't see non-muslims as infidels that must die. It's simply not true. I sometimes wonder how people could have possibly allowed Japanese Americans to be put in concentration camps during World War II. I see the fear and xenophobia on this very website and I know it could happen again. Look beyond the hysteria and stop associating every single Muslim with the acts of a few.
Slash, unfortunately PC will get you killed every darn time. You say my post is "reductionist." You then go on to rationalize, or attempt to rationalize, why you believe that not all Muslims are evil. Bu extrapolation you are putting words in my mouf. I'm not saying all Muslims are evil. The guy who cuts my hair is Muslim. He does a great job. Seems like a pleasant, professional fellow. What I'm saying is that Islam has as its foundation, its touchstone, its root of existence in the Quran. And the Quran is, without question, a religious ideology that actively promulgates violence & death & destruction to those who are unbelievers. In fact, there are over 100 instances where the Quran dictates / mandates violence against non-Muslims. As the saying goes, 'you could look it up.' Ergo, if a person takes as their religion a n ideology that has within its core teachings violence towards others for unbelief in Islam, then by extrapolation there are no radicalized Muslims. There are no moderate Muslims. There are only Muslims. Muslims who believe in Allah, The Prophet & the Quran. With the holy tenets of their faith promoting violence towards the unbelievers. Guys like you are good humans, empathetic, believing in the goodness of people. You see pics of little Syrian children dying, drowning, suffering, and you want to help. Understandable. This is how we have been trained in the west. 'Give me your tired, your poor, your suffering..." Well, this time it really is different. Ask the Israeli Jews. They figured it out a long, long time ago. We need to figure it out, and very, very soon.
So here's a brief quiz. Anyone know why Hungary has had no terrorist attacks within its borders? Answer: they closed their borders to the influx of Muslim refugees. They are the only Euro nation to do so. President Janos Ader could school Merkel, Obama & the other simpering, vote pimping, whore politicians who have chosen near-term popularity over the long-term best interests of their own nations that they ostensibly lead. Follow up quiz: how many Muslim refugees have been taken in by Saudi Arabia, with all of its massive billions of western-generated oil wealth? And, in the last 15 years how many Muslims has the USA taken in?
As Amnesty International recently pointed out, the "six Gulf countries — Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain — have offered zero resettlement places to Syrian refugees." The answer to the USA asspect of the question? Over 600,000 Muslims taken in over the past 15 years. Better wake the eff up, kidz.
Trying to locate and deport 11 million people is like trying to rid our country of guns. It's too late, the toothpaste is out of the tube. There is no practical way to round up and deport 11 million people without ripping this country to pieces.
So should we ban people who say they are muslims, or people who look like muslims, I'm confused here. Should we deport the muslims that are already here along with the illegal aliens? Revoke their citizenship? How do we protect ourselves from this threat that has existed for the past 1,400 years. What are you proposing?
The pope is a hypocrite. The Vatican has taken not one single refugee. Coincidentley he's also calling for a one world Gubmit.
It doesn't have to be "practical". It can be and should be "ruthless"; it then will never happen again.
To your question: Start with not taking in any more Muslims via our immigration channels. The president offering to take in 100,000 Muslim refugees is a professional politician who isn't proposing sound public policy; he's offering a knee-jerk reaction to a regional conflict that has been seized upon by the mainstream media & exponentially distributed to viewers across the globe. So, yes, start with that. Stop creating more problems by the cessation of importing more problems. Regarding those Muslims already here in the USA, well, it's not a good situation for the Judaeo Christian majority population. At all. However, we created our own problem there, so we have to now deal with the consequences. In doing so, tighten up on the mosques immediately. FBI studies of American mosque populations have shown, factually & unequivocally, that most of the money collected by American mosques is funneled to Qaeda & other listed terror organizations. If that continues, shut 'em down. Sure, they'll go underground. Stay on it; if people want to continue to deliver funding to terror organizations, that's trackable - - and punishable. Set the enforcement parameters & then follow through. There will be more San Bernadino's & more Ft Hood's & more RFK-type assassinations by Muslims. Better get over your hand-wringing episode & decide what type of future you want for your kids, your grandkids & this nation. Finally, if the 'peace-loving Muslims' can't seem to get a handle on their so-called 'radicalized' compatriots, then I would say it is time to consider the bigger picture. That being the overall safety, security, health & well-being of the USA. Tough decisions. Life is scar tissue.
