People hate on them all the time but I've had some of the best rides on my super kooky 7'6" Ron Jon...There is something to be said about riding a fun 1-2ft peeler on a minimal/funboard.

    Anyone else enjoy these?

So what's the difference between a funshape and a mid length?

A funshape is always a mid length, a mid length isn't always a funshape.

It was on the verge of high tide around 4, everything was inside lol

Yeah I was out Saturday, in Belmar.

We should meet up out there sometime. I go like twice a week. 35-40 min drive for me.

What's up dog! What kind of board are ya gettin made?

I like to teach kids on a funboard, it's easier for them to handle than a longboard and still stable.

They are also fun to ride in mushy liners. My wife wont let me sell the 7'6" Chinese "funfish" I got brand new off the rack at Ron Jons in 1996 for $225 because that is the board my daughter got her first ride on. I have trouble turning it, it likes to dig rail, it will pearl in anything over knee high, it has zero rocker, like an ironing board with fins (3 - glassed in). A family heirloom.
