http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/motorcycle-vs-car-road-rage_us_57052aa2e4b0b90ac270d050 If there is one thing I have learned is to never ever piss off a driver in the Miami area.
My thoughts exactly. After he goes in between the bus and the other bike, I thought he had lost him. How did that car catch back up?
Secondly, I have been arrested twice during car/bike incidents. Once was a very long time ago but the second time was just a couple years back when some leaky c@nt in a Lexus SUV cut me off and caused me to ditch. Several witnesses testified that it was her fault and she was on her phone. But of course, the police show up and find an enraged Chavez and a scared yuppie woman cowering in her Lexus. Guess who got put into cuffs? No charges were filed against me and I let it drop: I've had enough of the criminal justice system in this country in my life. I've only ridden maybe 5 times since then. It's not worth the risk anymore. WAY TO MANY IDIOTS. Human virus as the Yank calls it.
My question is: Why are you even reading the Huffington Post? Pretty much like reading the National Enquirer or Mad Magazine.
Gave up my bikes years ago. Close calls were accumulating. Could feel a bad crash coming on, just too many human viruses getting closer & closer in their large cages. Agreed: not worth the risk. When I think of all the things I'd lose from one activity, bikes, eh, it doesn't compute.
Same here, Yank. Had a couple of sweet Harley's for years that I had to give up because of road aggravation. It got so bad that I got in the nasty habit of carrying a pocketful of large ball bearings in my leather jacket. I did that for about a week, and decided that possibly killing somebody wasn't worth my job, my family or my freedom. So I sold the bikes and picked up an old 911 to wrench on. Stupid, right?
Makes perfect sense. Impossible to change certain things, cage driving imbeciles being a staple of life. In fact, of every Uber transportation that I've taken I'd say 80% of the drivers are definable as bad drivers. Uber gives ya kinda of an 'other' look at what else is on the road with you. It ain't comforting knowledge.
I gave up riding my motorcycles years ago after being pursued by an angry white tail. There was one bend on my road where, after 8 pm there was a 50/50 chance of a collision with a big Buck scary as sh*t even at 45 mph.
Try rounding a mountain corner at dusk on a Bagger with a Bull Elk in the middle of the road. I never could get that seat clean, after that experience.
