Hey I am going to ocean city Maryland to visit Salisbury U and I want to get in the water, but this is my first time surfing during the winter and I was hoping to get in the water where there will be a crowd. Does anyone know where I would be able to find some people in the water?

dont be a pus c and figure it out on your own do not go to a crowd youll fk sht up. or if you do go 100meters from the crowd. most of the time there are better waves people can see from the crowd but say fk it ill go compete with everyone and have to wait all day less time in the water for me and waves.

Over head surf with 25mph+ onshore winds think you'll have plenty of uncrowded beach available

I'm choosing between umbc, Rutgers and SU, and SU is closest to beach

I do a lot of work in higher ed. You get out of the experience what you put in. The 30 minute drive to the beach was a huge purchase driver for SU. As a freshman, I only boogie boarded and then a few years later I had a few surfboards and was charging all kinds of ish. OCMD during the summers were the best years of my life. Highly recommended.

Not sure of what youre going into as far as major but although not as fun as SU, UMBC has top-notch alum (especially for IT). Business/nursing/teaching, SU is pretty good. I didn't focus enough in undergrad. Too much of everything except studying. Had to get that focus in grad school. Good luck and do your homework wherever you go.

Rutgers would prob be your best option.
You can jump south on Route 18 and be at the beach in 45 minutes. Plus, easy access to NYC with the train - Think internships

Nope. I enjoyed partying with everyone and surfing with no one. Still do.
