There is a secret vaccine compensation court? Wow..where does this mysterious court meet? The court pays out 100s of millions? I didn't know courts pay out money to people.

The allegations of vaccine injury was not about the vaccines themselves, i.e., MMR, but rather, about the thiomerosal (mercury) preservative used. Several years ago, Merck REMOVED thiomerosal from MMR and any other of their vaccines. Since then, the rate of autism in kids continues to increase, showing that the thiomerosal is not the problem.
All pharmaceuticals have an incidence (defined as diagnosed cases) of adverse events. Autism is NOT one of them. The article in Lancet was retracted by the editors; the author discredited.
For those of you who still insist vaccines are harmful, I would rather listen American Pediatrics Academy than Jenny McCarthy, not matter how much I would like to bang her.....

Generally I don't care what people believe in, that's their business, but the anti-vax movement is dangerous to others.

And for someone who says they aren't anti-vax, why then you only post about how they are dangerous and don't work? Where's the info on "safe" vaccines? Where's the plan for fixing these supposed issues?

 

Again, take the time to actually read the links you post while trying to promote your far out agenda. This is for very rare cases of allergic reactions etc, which can occur. An unfortunate yet rare issue with trying to keep the general population safe from diseases which historically killed billions of human over our existence.
Conspiracy theorists love to cherry pick data like this and your "FDA" report to support their whacko claims. Take bits and pieces of data to make it fit your agenda, while having no basis in actual reality.

I was willing to give you a very slight benefit of the doubt thinking you had kids, and wanted, in your misguided and far out way, to try to protect them. Parents do extreme and dumb things sometimes in the name of trying to protect their kids, say like not getting proven safe vaccines.
But since you don't have kids, you really have no stake in this discussion whatsoever. You are dangerous, and just need to shut the **** up.

 

Big Pharma is one thing. Vaccines are another. Big Pharma and the people who work for them are money hungry assholes. Everyone knows that. Vaccines are needed and there is no solid proof that they cause autism.

Now, Big Pharma is all about profit and not about curing anything. It's just a business and we are the guinea pigs. Still no cure for cancer but something to get your **** hard, what a joke. People think we have the best doctors and medicine in the world. Only US citizens think we are the best while the brainwashed fly the flag. We are behind most of the world in healthcare mainly because it's about the money. Don't even get started on our education system which is one of the worst in the world.

The moral of the story. Big Pharma doesn't want cures, they want fixes to control symptoms but bring in huge profits. Don't be looking for a cure for any cancer any time soon. Vaccines are needed and were developed before these money hungry Pharma CEOS came about.

 

IMHO it's worse when it's the parents. The kids don't get a choice, their parents make it for them and endanger their lives and the lives of other children.

Like the a$$hats that reject medicine and just pray to Jeebus to cure their kids, then the kids die from something that could have been fixed in a hospital.

And to top it all off, they absolve themselves of all responsibility by claiming it was "God's will".

 

That is true. That is bad. What's even worse is using chemo when it does nothing. In that case you're better off not doing anything and living a normal life. The chemo just kills bad and good cells. People who tell you to use chemo just say so because it's the only choice. I've never seen chemo work on well over 20 people. I would rather die living a more normal life than poisoning myself and being bed ridden. That is one thing doctors and hospitals have wrong. I do agree there are other things that you should definitely go to the hospital for including early detection of cancer.

 

My sister is currently undergoing a pilot for an alternative treatment for chemo and its working very well. I hope it pans out (both personally and for others) and won't take 20 years to make it to the gen. pop.

Thanks man. Luckily she (like me) has learned that you have to take control of your health, which many times means really getting on a doc's arse and making them do their job, getting 2nd opinions, doing the "trust but verify" action, and firing them if you don't get results.

She had a nasty cough that wouldn't go away and kept getting the run around, but kept pressing until they did exploratory surgery...and found out she had cancer and had to take out the lower lobe of her right lung. The surgeon was excellent and got it all in one shot. And afterwards she kept fighting back when they wanted her to put her on chemo and finally got into this pilot program. Relatively speaking she's doing fantastic.

Docs these days are in a difficult spot, as ins. companies don't want to pay for anything so often times a doc is hesitant to go down a certain path as they doubt ins. will pay for it then the patient blames them. But in the end, it's your health and your responsibility. And you don't have to just blindly accept what they say as the gospel.

Had she not kept pressing it's highly unlikely she'd be alive today and would be just another statistic. And had she just accepted the chemo she'd way worse off.

I understand and am sympathetic to the tough situation a lot of docs are in these days, but at the end of the day, I don't care. If I have to be a **** to get the proper treatment, then so be it.

 

So, in your mind, Big Pharma execs sit around a boardroom deciding on how NOT to cure and control diseases??

I worked for pharma, on the clinical studies side, for 35 years. Nothing can be further from the truth. Vaccines DO put the manufacturers OUT of business, provided the population takes them. Vaccines are made BY pharma, so there exists NO DIFFERENCE between the marketing approaches to both.

Most of what I read on this thread is either wrong, funny, or just plain delirious, guys.

If you want to single out an organization that has NO INTEREST in keeping patients alive, look to socialized government - they are your largest enemy in the health field. My wives best friend in Canada is now going to start chemo for lymphoma--the National Healthcare plan has delayed treatment, hoping she would die first so they do not have to pay for it. She has known since December she had the disease. Here in the USA, she would already have been DONE with chemo by now. So if you like Bernie, you will most certainly get what you pay for, and you will then, deserve it......

And chemo does work, but not for all. The new monoclonal antibody products are providing some answers in some cancers. A long way to go.

 

Definitely agree here. I've had more than one relative who were sick. After seeing a 2nd and 3rd doctor, they were finally diagnosed with cancer. I've noticed that many doctors don't like being told what to do. If you ask for a scan they will argue with you saying it's not needed and there is no concern. Just give me the ****ing scan. I'll pay for it. I've met other doctors who are great and work with you instead of needing to run the show.
