Prince is Dead

I gotta admit. I'm already sick of hearing Prince on the radio all the time right now.

 

Sometimes You have to really look at what influences you .. The challeges he faced and the struggles he overcame not to mention all the sudden fame abd then the years of not releasing music under prince.. but ubder the symbol and lost millions due to greedy record executives. It's okay that it didn't affect you or move you Hannah but some of the rest of us get it.

 

Sad indeed. Another talent that will live on forever in music.

He was probably the most talented musician that will ever live. He could play pretty much any instrument, and play it very well!!

 

Dude is talented but his music never really did it for me. Never 'got' why he was so heralded; I mildly like some of his songs, but can't stay on that frequency for long.

About 4 minutes after he croaked, some of the guys at work put on his song "I Would Die 4 U."

I'll admit will to ignorance, I never realized what a good musician he was until recently.

Music is such a subjective thing, he never did much for me personally, but one can't deny his technical genius. I was probably too young at first exposure and confused by the androgynous vibe he put off.

never cared for haggard, i means its true country unlike the sht on the radio today but i just dont dig it. i can dig some hank and cash.

First time I heard Erotic City in a club I had to find out who it was. Funky a** song singin' aboot farking.

Youtube Tom Petty, Jeff Lynch?, and Prince playing While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Prince takes a solo at aboot the 4 minute mark that is awesome. I wasn't in to all his stuff but he was a brillant muscian/entertainer.

He was an incredibly talented musician, mastered several instruments. I've never owned any of his albums though, not my cup 'o tea. But I respect his talent, and that he really puts a lot of effort into his shows and cares about giving it all for his fans.

A friend of mine at work is a huge fan. Apparently Prince has a rep for showing up at some small club after playing a big coliseum. When he played here last time at the big amphitheater he and his wife took a chance on a piano bar downtown and sure enough he showed up and played for like another hour and a half.
