I'll be in ft lauderdale area for Conf/work in sept...anyone got any advice on board rental/demo chill places and melo vibe spots?

Pm would probably work best, then I can give more detail on loc.

    Thanks!

Yeah....I've had to stay in Ft. Lauderdale for work a few times and ended up scoring waves up in Lake Worth/Palm Beach area. The traffic will drive you NUTS!

deerfield bch for surf in that area. most likely you will need to go north for anything rideable.

while in deerfield you need to eat at the whales rib. get hydrated with alcohol and go look at all the hot brazillan girls on the beach.

    srsly ...... go do it

The Whale's Rib is the bomb. Best raw bar around. Great cracked conch too. Too bad Gordy closed the one on Singer Island years ago.

Hurricane swell in September, could be big windchop locally in Broward, maybe you'll need to drive to Hobe Sound or Ft Pierce to get north of the Bahamas if it goes up the coast offshore. If it stalls around Bermuda, waves for all. There will be random empty sand bars going off a bit south of the crowded piers.
