This and the live version of "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" off of Live at the Filmore.
    Also,
Richard Wagner's 'Seigfried's Death and Funeral March' always got to me.

Buena Vista Social Club is great, and Peajay's right about it being good sexytime music. That and some wine and you're good to go. A lot of their tunes are popular Latin American folk jams, so you'll hear covers and versions when traveling in other countries ... strange and cool how their music has kind of ribboned in and out of my life.

You guys jam some Manu Chao? Clandestino is a great album. Not super chill, but definitely more chill than 90's punk, with the occasional 90's punk riff being there, thankfully haha.

This is one of my goto's for downtime.

When listening to it, I can't help but imagine cruising along the face of some mysto foreign wave.
@ 10:45, what a ripping tune to surf to. Oh my god why am I not surfing right now. Here's to tomorrow morning, hope you all score!

Luckily I have a well maintained drinking establishment close by. Good food and people and they carry no swill.

    He's good/great.

My preference is the other Evans, and his arrangements for Miles.

Since it's nigh, here's the piece de resistance.... 'Summertime' as written by Gershwin, artistry by Miles & the boys, arranged by Gil:

Outside of relaxing piano music, I still think Janis Joplins "Summertime" version is the absolute best. Guitar work on it is great.
But then again, that was my generation, I suppose....

    I was kidding about Zamfir.

Michael Jones' Pianoscapes. Picked up the cassette in the mid 80s from a shop at Ventura Harbor. Here's one selection from that album:
