Taken from the inspiration of the top two treads.
Today, me, absolutely nothing. Except for the weekly food shop. Turned out to be the first 100+ % perfect weather, do nothing day.

We all know it goes flat, we all know we get surf from time to time. This is the tread to lay out what you need to do and what you don't, on your down time.

    Have a nice day!

finished up work today fairly early. Then got some lunch with future-Mrs-towelie, got home, watered the garden, opened up some windows - cats couldn't be happier to feel the breeze through the whiskers. Replenished bird food in the feeder outside my window, been getting visits from random doves and sparrows lately. packing a bowl at the moment, DP tomorrow just to get wet **** it, gonna wax up the fun 8' in a few, maybe catch something tomorrow . Hope everyone is having a good day!

For me surfing is a sidetrack to escape the everyday. So is this forum. When there is no surf I have multiple interests that can keep me occupied but I do miss parenthood. My kid has been out of the house for a while now and it has freed up a lot of my time. Sometimes too free, but I miss it. It's given me the time to reinvent oneself and time to 're- kindle a relationship with my wife. Bless her, she's put up with a ton of my worthlessness.
Life is made up of moments and everyone needs to be cherished, from the mundane to the magnificent.
Never take any moment of your lives for granted and always pray for surf!

Cleaned/mopped house, washed/vacuumed Jeep, picked up a carver, currently watching YouTube and soon to be playing BO3 for the remainder of my evening. It was definitely a nice first half of the day. Now, similar to what the rest of you are doing, I'm debating on dawn patrolling. I might just wait until Wednesday's* bump and ride the carver all day tmrw...decisions...decisions.

In the middle of fixing up the porch. Today was paint day. Kicked my sons but in stickball. Grilled a porterhouse for dinner. Drank some scotch. Took the family to the ice cream parlor. Now watching the Mets. And more scotch.

Caught a some knee-high stuff with the longboard this morning off Dam Neck. Had a harbor seal (I think) checking me out. Worked at folks' place much of the day afterwards. Beautiful weather. Drinking wine and watching movies at home with wife tonight.

Yeah, mang...anything w/bananas for this little focker...his elder bro was easy going (pretty much still is at the ripe age of 4...he use to eat anything and everything, no problem. Not so much anymore, but the kid'll humor me with any request...pretty sweeet).

Got two hours through the revanant until the wife had to go to bed...that movie is some heavy shyte

What's your pref? A white or a grizzly? That grizz was just toying wit his ass...makin sure he wasn't after the babies n shyte

Wanted to rent deadpool (yeah, up here we can still walk to the vid store in the hood, get some ice cream and rent some obscure and/or pop movies...costly, but it's something to do)...not disappointed at all through the first 4/5 of the the revanant, although the visions are so numerous you want to find out what kinda bacteria is eating away at DiCap...seems like something shroom or 0p1um

All great stuff from all! A weekend diary of sorts.
Whether you worked or played or carried out personal responsibilities to yourself and others...I hope you all enjoy a great day with many, many more!

Early up, coffee & long walk with The Gift (dog); 40 miles on the road bike this gorgeous May morning before the sun disappeared; squirrel warfare continued with installation of home-made spinner shield on bird feeder conduit pole; up a 10' ladder to trim the Emerald Green Giants; lunch; awesome nap; afternoon extended workout with weights & such.

    Did someone say Scotch...?

And since it looks like there will never, ever be any waves for the right coast again, planning surf trek somewhere for MemDay.

Watching F1 Spanish GranPrix then it's off to the laundromat. Need to get some things together for the work week, then see where the afternoon takes the remainder of the day. I would sk8, but I don't feel like hanging out in a barn on another nice day. Maybe try to catch a couple legal flounder for dinner.
    Still no sign of waves.

dp cancelled today due to discouraging cam footage, it was still dark when i woke up to check, but you know you can tell at least the size by the amount of white water pushing through. it was minimal. back to sleep - had a dream i was looking at the rockaway cam and out of the dark a massive wave came through, like at least 25-30ft flooding everything all the way up to the boardwalk. somebody mentioned it was the 2nd out of 3... i guess i missed one, but coast guard reported a 3-wave set. BIG. was scrambling to the truck to get down there asap, to see anybody was injured and needed help. got there, not without traffic of course..who the hell is out at 4am??.. still dark, the boardwalk is gone, a few people had the same idea and were there with boards and fins, and floatation devices of all kinds, to bring anybody out there on shore... woke up after that, fed the cats... ginger's bday today. extra tuna for his fat ass... coffee time.
