This dude has had a long week.

jumping in on this thread way late, but there was a guy on the old NEsurf forum who had this under his posts, which I liked a lot:

"Religion flies you into the sides of buildings, science flies you to the moon."

Barry, why are you so scared to engage in an actual debate with me? That's your rebuttal to the opinion I presented? And I lost?

Well sorry, I didn't know it was a contest, thought it was just a platform to share different ideas/solutions to common problems we all face. My bad Barry.

Barry, as far as the Kool-Aid...you are they only one here dropping one liners and claiming intellectual victories in open forums like Sean Hannity. But hey, you're Barry, it's what you do...who are we to stop you from defining your existence thru the belittling of others on the internet. It's a suit that fits you well my friend.

We did a lot more than that....My wife's grandmother (partially Japanese origin) was imprisoned in California during WWII for a couple years despite being married to an American born man who was serving in the U.S. Military. This guy was American born, fighting in the war, and at the same time trying to get his wife and children out of internment camp just because of her bloodline. My wife's mother was in grade school at the time and then in the camp. Her stories are pretty chilling.

I know all about the Japanese internment camps. Yes it's sad, but we spend billions a year on intelligence and we still can find out who these radical jihadists are on our soil? Also 60% of all US military arms sales go to these middle eastern countries. We have a presidential candidate whose largest campaign contributor is a Middle Eastern country. WTF? also we have US mosque imams preaching hate towards Western civilization.
All Muslim terror that has occurred on US soil our government and Intelligence agencies New who these guys were before hand. I'm not calling for putting every Muslim in an internment camp, but there is obviously something we can do meaning our government to stop this. So when I say ban radical Jihadists I mean our commander in chief needs to grow a set of balls and do something. But he will not even say the words radical Jihadist. What's your solution?

Archy, alternative solutions have been offered. It appears you just choose to ignore them because they aren't in line with what you want to see done. Just an observation.

What solutions? Gun bans? Beef up an already bloated police/security state? You mean solutions that compromise what this country was founded on?
How bout get rid of and jail the corrupt politicians that put us in this mess. The ones who invaded and destroyed countries that were of no threat to our nation, and as a consequence, gave rise to the radicalization and mass exodus. Jail the corrupt politicians who bow to these middle Easter countries.
    image.jpg
Jail the politicians who received 100s of millions to their private foundations (Clintons).
How bout start there rather than taking away your civil liberties.
Your observation is clouded with reactive solutions rather than cutting off the source of the problem.

So who are you at odds with? The Islamic state or The US Government?
Your solutions compromise what this country was founded on. The people you want to jail are dead. and
wouldn't solve american citizens buying guns and shooting up nightclubs. The same government that you claim is in middle eastern pockets is also in the pocket of the NRA whose sole purpose is not to defend your 2nd amendment but to make a profit selling guns.

wouldn't it be easier just not to give a guy like this an easy route to an assault rifle?

Do you even read what anyone else writes? Because, I don't think I used any of the things you named as solutions in any of my posts. Please let me know where I have suggested we take away civil liberties. In fact, as I read back, you are the one calling for interment camps and worse if needed, I'd call that an infringement on civil liberties.

I could also argue the lobbyists from Corporate America (NRA, Big Oil, Northrup Grunnam, General Dynamics, Raytheon) are just as much at fault as the politicians.

are we talking about forcibly disarmed? I'm talking about not giving assault weapons to a guy like this. It doesn't seem rational to you that this guy shouldn't have an easy route to an assault rifle?

The Australians did it and it is looking positive that homicides and suicides with guns went down. The study has some holes gauging how much but there is a agreement there was a decrease. And it wasn't a disarmement. You can still have guns just there are rules to follow to get them.
