Many, not all, but many people (esp those with the power craving dna) need to feel they are better or more powerful over other people. Ergo, racism, anti-semitism, gender-specific hate, and anything else that can be cooked up become the tools, the means to the end.

Anti-semitism is endemic to many Euro nations. And anti-semitism, the hatred & the bloodshed, lingers on & on & on due to, ironically, the stability & perpetuation of Christian & Muslim cultural mores in those same Euro states.

Got into a spirited debate once with a couple, they were Israelis. My point was that Israel was basically created by a British White Paper, fueled by Brit angst over the long history of anti-semitism in Britain, combined with post-WWII western guilt, and solidified by the UN vote in November of 1947 where even Russia (wtf) voted 'aye' for the creation of a Jewish state / homeland. The subheading of that vote was that many nations felt that by creating a Jewish state, 'their Jews' would split for the new land. Bingo. 'Problem' solved because that's how they viewed 'their Jews.'

The Palestinians were disenfranchised at that time aka screwed because, basically, they bet on the wrong horse. On the losing side in WWII. And we know what losers get: khack. To this very day.

But the Israeli couple insisted that it was divine right that created the Israeli state. Hoo buoy.

Anyways. The human virus loves, loves, loves to hate. Twisted joy or something. And Jews are The Standing Man always easy to hit, for centuries.

The antisemitism is in front of your face every evening you turn on the news. For centuries, the "money - changers", aka jews, were persecuted for their monetary policies, i.e. "usury", etc.. Watch the news and listen to your favorite politicians (whichever) attack Wall Street (Goldman, Sachs, Lehman, etc)......they are to blame for everything.
Absolutely no difference to that what happened in Spain (1492), Germany (1930s), etc.
USA is not that spiffy clean in this respect. Most are simply blind to it. Warren, Sanders (even if jewish), Clinton,....all of them have fallen in to the same trap. Stupid is, as stupid does.
