Well, I don't hate muslims.

Muslims have & follow an ideology laden with hate. The ultimate aspect to that ideology is that if you don't join them in the belief of their ideology, you are a lesser human & they have the right (often worded as the obligation) to kill you.

Ergo, I'm not at all ok with welcoming people into my camp who have that ideology as the fulcrum of their actions.

Because any challenges are immediately met with the same old tired accusations of racism and xenophobia.

What's lacking is a strong, coherent counterpoint from someone who is experienced, intelligent, articulate and well-respected.

While there are several candidates who could carry this torch, apparently none of them have the balls to break away from a political system which is currently hamstrung by current PC fashionne due to the fact that conservative centrists have been pushing almost equally as hard for quicker and easier emigration from all countries. Both the Repubs and Dems want looser laws to allow a steadier stream of permanent visitors to increase voter blocks.

Trump's basically the only guy to say in plain language exactly wtf is going on and how to fix it, without all the flowery political rhetoric... Albeit with his uncontrollable verbal diarrhea personal kind of way.

The real truth would be refreshing to hear, from either of these psychos. Just once.

Besides, Stank...how strong is your faith in the academic community beyond your own that the intelligentsia would not simply spin unfavorable results? Its not as if it hasn't been done before.

Academia is really not much different than the military in that respect. The indoctrinational brainwashing starts immediately and can last a lifetime.

Kidde, I would suggest that if you wait for a leader to emerge (which we all are), that you will be sorely disappointed (as we will all be). Better we try to be leaders in our own communities than wait for a Hilary or a Trump to "solve" problems. But I do agree, reluctantly however, that Trump is the only one calling the shots as the "average joe" sees them, and I do wish he would shut his yap and just do the job, get it done.
In my experience, PC is the single most damaging political philosophy of our times. It is meant to silence the non-liberal opposition. TO beat a dead horse (nazism), pre WW2 Germany, it was very PC to hate jews or be subjugated yourself to unspeakable horrors as well. That is where PC can take us, much to the absolute glee of the academics.

As the "secrecy" of the voting ballot no longer exists here in the USA, I would caution you all about voting. Stalin said "The winner of the elections is the person who counts the votes". He had a 99% approval rating; he killed off the remaining 1%. Annually.

I should give up trying to have a conversation about this because its clearly pointless. Call me all the names you want. I am far from liberal... see pasts posts about competition and people working for and earning what they have. You call me names because that's all you've got... anger and a "they took our jobs" mentality. Not that it means a f*ck of a lot, but I have degrees in economics and american history, grad degree in business. Then again, you think "academics" (ie people that actually study an issue) are frauds... its a can't win position for all who oppose you. Its easy for people to generalize that all "fill in the blank" are bad... but it ignores the fact that there are good people in the world, everywhere. The vast majority of those killed by muslims are muslims. It has to do with religious sects, geographic allegiances, socio economic issues and a ton of complex factors. The reason that some conclude you might be racist or xenophobic is because you cast a group of people into one pot and assume one set of facts, beliefs and actions apply to all of them. I personally think its sad and ironic. The terrorists see all Americans as the same, regardless of our differences. Their mentality is not unlike Barry's.

... I'm done, for a while, with this conversation. I go overseas for a while, will hang out with a bunch of people from South of the border and be glad that they don't treat me like you would treat them..

As far as how the US funds refugees, here you go.. we fund refugees with tax dollars. However, immigrants get jobs and pay taxes... any legitimate economist would tell you that immigration is essential to our economy... an overall positive, not negative. But again, its pointless to argue with you because nothing is going to change your mind. If I give you facts or studies, you just say they are "liberal academics" and it means nothing.

I'm not sure how or why you ended up being as bitter as you are, but I am sorry life has handed you such misfortune that you think barring immigrants and killing muslims is going to fix your problems... maybe its time you looked in the mirror to make you life better, rather than blaming others. You could go back to school, take some math classes, learn to be an engineer or perhaps an accountant. Then you could get a job and make a living so that you don't feel so disadvantaged... or, you can continue posting rants on the internet about how Obama, the "Libtards", muslims, etc., etc. are ruining our Country.
