Bought a new surf truck for the boys. Snorkel and smoke stack equipped. 1994 Ford Ranger 4X4 5 Speed for $700. Fits the longboard no prob. Now I have another place for wax to melt all over things.
What kind of surf dedicated or other vehicles are you guys rocking.
I know this has been done before, but clearly people are stepping it up... me included

Got this recently after my Tahoe was totaled. It's a tad smaller, but still fits all my boards and it gets much better gas mileage.

I used a trailblazer as well. It's for sale if anyone is interested in the central Florida area and runs great fwiw. Pm me if interested.

I just got the Chevy Colorado. That thing is dope. I was in the fence about a Tacoma

My Colorado gets 30mpg, crew cab and fits all boards and has plenty of roof to strap down additional boards and get the needed support. I went with the work truck model. No need for onstar and a big screen. Simple, reliable and a good price point with room for additional improvements. Heavy duty cloth interior so me and my pup can roll out.

It's not bulky. Think of it as a "toned down" Silverado. The old ones (2012 and earlier) were a little smaller. Didn't make them in 13 and 14 but stepped it up 2015. Mine is 2016.

I was looking at getting a Colorado too, but went with the Trailblazer instead. I enjoy trucks and SUV, but I think I like the extra interior space.

DP, I thought your Tahoe was getting fixed. Guess not.

My ride is a 2007 Grand Caravan. Tons of room for boards and gear. Roof rack for more boards if needed. Kick ass A/C is essential here. Heated seats to warm the core after chilly winter sessions. Easy to work on, parts are plentiful.

They were going to but then the total damage was more than the value of the vehicle so they decided to total it anyways.

What's the details on this she-beast? Did you go 4-banger or 6cyl? 4x2 or 4x4?

I'm in the market for a truck soon.

2 wheel, turbo charged 4 gas

First truck I've ever gotten without 4x4 and 6 cyl

Great on gas and plenty of room. She sold herself on me quick. Sits high like a 4x4 and plenty of backseat for those moments between waves on the beach.

The 4 cyl turbocharged diesel is dope, but I'm still recovering from home purchase.

Beats Tacoma on mpg and price.

Got her for less than $25k and had 12 miles on it. Customer service sucked though...lol

Anyone want a trailblazer? I'll do a Swellinfo discount. Would rather sell to a human than Carmax.

Not into trucks. Subaru Outback is good enough for me.
Can get my 9'2" in no sweat.
Can load anything on roof rack.
Comfy, nice sound system, and I attract lesbians........

Did you have to replace everything at ~110,000 miles yet? Those cars are great until then.

Thanks for the information. I've always wanted a Tacoma, but the 2016 redesign has been underwhelming to say the least. The Colorado is creeping up my rankings. I'll need to go 4x4 though.

I like that little Colorado. My wife's dad has one that I was waiting for him to surrender to me, but it just wasnt happening so I bought this in the mean time.
Who is your pup, and what is he? Looks like he definitely digs your new ride as well

Browning Diesel loves the truck! He is an Australian Shepherd and he can ride a wave. His singing to the "Walking Dead" definitely has him more famous than me.

No. I buy a new one at 75K; the one I have now has 32K. Plenty of time.
If I do the recommended drive chain change at 100K, I will get another 100K out of it.
Good cars if you maintain them. Better that ANY American car, I regret to say. And you can blame the unions for that,

Here is mine.. or at least it use to be.. now my son has it but we still take it when ever we go surfing. It will get through the snow, the sand, rain, just about anything. Plenty of room in the back after putting four people in it and plenty of room on the roof for a stack of boards. Cant beat those grand cherokees, they are beasts!!
