La Jolla (Hoya) is about 20 minutes from downtown If i was with a wife and kids, OB is the last place i would go. There is a serious transient/drug addict problem. MB is def more family oriented (belmont park) Sunset cliffs are south of OB - Really cool area to walk around, just pay attention, PLEASE. There have been 3 people this year that feel off the cliff while looking at there phones. im serious. http://www.10news.com/news/person-falls-off-sunset-cliffs-070516
No "slabby" beach breaks per se, closest thing would be on La Jolla Farms Rd...park where all the cars are and prepare for a nice hike. Marine St in LJ is loaded with boogers riding fun summer shore whomp, and there's a heckuva slab reef just outside...bring your cojones MB, OB and PB are pretty typical beach break with the summertime boardwalk crowds. North county beaches like Del Mar, Encinitas and Leucadia are usually glassier and better shaped without the crazy touron madness
did someone get butthurt on swellinfo today or is he going to get butt raped in tj hmmm idk i didnt even know who you were tbh.
Accountants are high demand, you'd probably be able to land a job pretty quickly. I know one guy working for a restaurant group doing the books. Not making much, but he's got a job... It's hard applying for jobs from out of state. Most employers wont even give you the time of day. Do what i did. Move, say a prayer and hopefully dont fly back broke with your tail between your legs!
HA! Do not take the ho chi trail unless you're with somebody that's done it before - Take the pave path or the glider port trail!
you wanna fight dude lets go meet me at belmar 2pm next Wednesday. what waves is there to talk aboot when its flat?
OP my two cents for a well rounded trip: - spend a day or two downtown - zoo, gaslamp, might catch a decent concert or a Padres game. - head to laJolla for couple nights- lots of shopping / dining options, caves/kayaking, scripps aquarium, blacks, pier - head further into NCSD for a couple more days (encinitas/cardiff/carlsbad)- craft beer (stone brewery, etc.), several surf spots, not too far from trestles/san clemente day trip, pizza port, winery tours via the coaster train, etc. if you have the time, something along those lines would be great trip imho !
