    sounds like a cool trip..

I'm just laughing at all the comments with the geological perspective lol, california is a really big state like going from chula vista to ob is a damn plane ride or a 9 hr drive.it would suck to spend 80% of the trip just driving lol.going to the red woods is 6 hrs.im no California expert but I do know what a map looks like and its like ny,nj,md,va,nc,sc all in one.have fun tho.i was going to let u in on a nice cliff jumping/waterhole in the sequoias but if I was u I wouldn't drive that far

I dont know if you're serious or not..
You do know OP is talking about the OB (Ocean Beach) in San Diego, not San Fran..

If you got extra time, head up to Los Angeles. Man I love that city. There is so much happening, such an amazing vibe, you feel like you're seeing the future. And the people are really good looking in an extraordinary way: I think the super good looking humans gravitate to LA in hopes of becoming stars, but they end up waiting tables and parking cars. The food is fantastic, the art and music scene is amazing.

LA and San Diego are really different from each other. Each pretty great for different reasons.

Is anything churning in the tropics?
I'm heading east either in September or October. First signs of anything off Africa, I'm booking my ticket.

    l

On September 14, a tropical wave will form into a Depression, which will blow up into a Category 3 hurricane overnight, move up the east coast of Florida sending OH waves . The storm will remain off shore if Florida and eventually affect the entire coast.

Funny though because that is at the end of a road full of fancy ass faux Tuscan mansions now- the most fancy part of Shell Beach. Bonus Shell Beach fact- Jon Anderson of Yes lives there I guess, though not on that road.

Too cold for nude beach IMO there. Shrinkage threat is real and spectacular.
