I've eyeballed that wreck more than once and thought about snorkeling it. But yeah, only if it were a really clear day. I wonder if erock ever dove there. How much did your sling run if you don't mind saying? Lots of flat days with no winds usually clears the water up pretty well. Yes, I'm Captain Obvious.
That's some good eats, caught me a keeper doormat last night that might meet a similar fate. 10/10 vegans agree fluke is delicious
i want some of that right now! I would make my own if i could catch a friggin keeper. I caught 34 flounder last night and not one was legal. Went out tonight for 2 hours and and caught 15, all short. In the last week in Ocmd i have caught 75 flounder with only one keeper in the bunch, wtf!
I'm usually not around that spot but every time I've checked out that wreck there was no one around, so I guess you're right must be a bunch of local peeps that get on it when it's clear. Will have to check more often when its been flat and calm for a while. Thanks for the info on the sling. Let me know if you ever get out there and get to put it to use.
Went offshore yesterday and had 3 BFT 90 lbs, 4 YFT all around 50 lbs... Had 2 other knock downs, but lost them. Hit the buoy on the way in and picked up a couple of mahi. Home by 3 PM and had grilled mahi tacos for dinner.
Yeah. It was a sick day. We decided to run out last minute after hearing some good reports. A few friends had Blue Fin over the weekend. They usually don't stick around long, so we decided to go. We saw life in the area we were planning to fish and had the lines out by 630 AM... We were on the troll for maybe 10 minutes and had the first fish. And it was pretty much non-stop for the next 4 hours.
