been on a Molly Hatchet kick for a few days.
Ho Lee Fuk...if I didn't have to worry about baby stuff I'd be a definite right now. What an appropriate event for some SI shenanigans.
Thanks swellers -- LB in particular. Listened to "Blow by Blow" and now halfway through listening to this: Seems to have peaked my focus, energy, and productivity on an afternoon that was dragging ..
Sorry.. can't relate exactly. I'm old school. Large 7-11 coffee, hide out with book bag in remote corner of the 4th floor of the undergraduate library. Study until coffee wore off. But upbeat instrumentals are less distracting and bring some energy, and enhance the dark roast consumption.
More melodic, but still a happy sound... out of Seattle.
my god what on earth are the New Descendants? The Descendents were amazing for the entire 2 years they existed from like mid 1984 to mid 1986. they made 30 amazing 2 minute riff/songs in that brief little explosion in between Milo and Bill Stevenson's high school/college/Black Flag stations. It's 2016...please don't tell me 60 year old men are going to try and re-create the magic! Leave my fond memories alone lol

Wow, I wonder how they sound these days. Good sh*t back in the day, but gotta think it isn't nearly the same.
Still in Beck mode..
I saw the Descendents play Warped Tour a few years ago. Just like Bad Religion, they were great in their prime, but they were well past it even back then. Sounded flat, uninspiring, just going through the motions. But maybe that was because Pennywise just finished their set. They killed it. Killed it twice. Three times.
Sounds about right. Pennywise is a hard act to follow. Such great concerts they put on. I recall some of the most massive pits at their shows, almost the entire place was one big pit at one of the shows I saw them at. It was full on organized mayhem
