http://www.wtsp.com/news/calif-woman-faces-backlash-for-having-bear-killed/289932111 Should the bear have been killed?
This was my thought. I bet they didn't eat the bear at all. I've always wanted to try bear but have never had the opportunity.
Bear really isn't that good unless a really old woman cooks it. And even then, its a toss up of if it had enough fat or too much fat to make it really rich tasting. Also, bear is kinda like squirrel.
Soak it in milk for a couple hours to tenderize, then slice it across the grain. But yeah, still going to be kinda tough and gamey. Also, since it in cali it prob had bear AIDS
Hunting and eating bear is like doing same to dogs. I thought only Chinese restaurants did that??? Or cats..... Here kitty, kitty, kitty.......CHOP!!!!!
I go to a hunter's feast every spring and bear is 2nd on my list behind elk then followed by the rockfish chowder. So far I must've been lucky. Tastes great every time. Mmmm
Other than being Carnivores, Dogs and Bears are not related...different families. Bear taste way better than dog. If Bear is cooked proper (especially the roast), it is very good.
But that means they are the same "Order"m (Carnivora)!! They are related. You are talking to a biologist, jay. You will not win with that line of logic, with me!! Having said that, I was just being my usual annoying self. hahahaha!! Remember this mnemonic: "In the Kingdom of Phyllum, the Class was called to Order, by the Family of Genus Species"
Anal... that comes from the word "anus"...which is the end of your GI track. Bend over and take a look up and say "hello"!! btw,....did you like my mnemonic?? It got me through a lot of exams in Comparative Anatomy!!!
"King Phillip came over for greater sex" is how our biology teacher taught us to remember. Cool teacher. He had a tank of piranhas that he'd feed goldfish to every few days. Class would stop and we got to watch the food chain at in action. PETA would try to have him jailed today.
