Then create a classroom style course and a law enforcement based test for licensure. It won't stop all violence but it's a start and wil save lives. You support single payer, cool, its worked for Switzerland right, and Holland, etc. Well now that they have saturated their numbers with 3rd world "refugees", now they can't sustain and medical system is fracturing. Expand that to our current situation here in the US, with our growing population. Single payer only works when everyone pays in. Do you propose actually enforcing immigration, and magically have all of those currently here and undocumented pay "their fair share". If so, you may have a logical point, I agree prevention is cheaper.
