How do people put their longboard in their trucks? I have a toolbox and I have to slide the nose under but I am worried over time its gonna destroy the nose especially driving on bumps. I dont want to buy a board bag though. Any suggestions?

Dude buy a bag ( for your board) It's the best fit for your situation. Or score some hot chic who lives on the beach and will let you keep it at her place!

I don't have a toolbox... But used to have a friend named toolbox years ago... He was a good guy... Now resides in Guam

Anyways-on my truck I use an old folded towel in the front corner for the nose so it doesn't get dinged or scratched- and then another folded towel on top of the gate. And just a semi light bungee cord across the top of the surfbort to keep it in place.

So in your situation- I would do the same... BUT I would take a piece of 3/4 pipe insulation (cut to size) and stick it on that bottom corner of your toolbox where your board would hit- so your board would kinda be sandwiched under the toolbox a little but the pipe insulation would protect.

Or you could buy a board bag too... Lol

This is akin to someone whining about why their shiiiite gets tossed into the ocean when they leave it on the beach.

Yeah - get over your issue with board bags. This kind of scenario is kind of why they were invented.

Put your woman in back and hang the board out of the window. You are welcome

First line the bottom of the tool box with some very heavy foam about 1 inch thick, then build a frame on the bottom of the truck just underneath the nose of the board and line it with foam too. Then frame around the sides of the board nose and line that with foam. Next get a piece of kevlar and put it on the tailgate but put a strip of one inch foam on top if it first. Place the board nose first into the hand made frame and place the tail end on the tail gate piece kevlar and 1 inch foam. Next get about 3 yards of the foam peanuts and dump it all around the board, bottom, top and sides DO NOT SKIMP on the foam peanuts!! Then duct tape a piece of plastic big enough to cover the entire bed of the truck. Trust me, nothing is more embarrassing than driving down the highway with foam peanuts flying all over the place....

OR you could just buy a quality board bag and a 2 dollar bungy cord.....
