the last 4 or 5 years i have been trying these libs out . I have a 5 10 vert i love to kite with and surf occasionally , great travel board . As a surf board the vert was missing a few things , so that made it an ok board to surf . Then i picked up a 5 10 lib tech mayhem sub buggy . With matts hands involved. These lib techs are stepping up the performance on their short boards , and with the durably factor , i don't think I'm going to need another surf board for a while . Well thats not true . I snagged my buddies 5'1 lib mayhem puddle jumper . i was dumb founded by this fast ,little skatey , pocket size groveler . Its snappy , quick to turn , holds cut backs nicely . three good pumps and your flying down the line looking for a ramp or a lip calling out . I was catching boat wake size waves and loving it , giggling , disappointed because i had to give it back . If you have the opportunity to try one of these boards out , please do . I'm saving up for a pj 5'3
So, I'm assuming you could really screw the libtech board by oversizing bc i don't think it will flex at all. never ridden one, I'm just shuddering at the idea of riding that board unless it's slightly undersized.
New Board Board just came off the Fed Ex truck! It's a 5'7. Got it for $50 cheaper because of the pressure ding on the deck.
As much as I don't want to, I sorta like the looks of it. I'm a sucker for a hexagonal pattern though
Shipping. Not really sure what happened. I have seen several posts about heel dents. Even a picture of a hole from a reef. So yeah-- not invincible.
