And please note that this article points out the flaw in looking at poorest states/counties. And yes, I know the article is about counties, not states, but the article also contains a discussion of the poorest states. Its hard to argue that Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia , Arkansas, Tennessee, etc. are not Republican strongholds, and the poorest states in the Union... but it doesn't mean that they are poor because they are Republican.

 

I can't release my tax returns! I'm under audit! Prior years returns are also out of the question. Besides some of the auditors have Mexican sounding names so I think they are biased against me. Let me tell you.

Of course there's no legitimate reason I can't release those returns while I'm being audited. I'm just not going to release them because they will show 1) that my net worth is much less than I claim, 2) that I pay almost nothing in taxes and 3) that I have some really wicked foriegn entanglements in my business dealings. Big league.

But the poorly educated folks that are voting for me believe this BS audit excuse so I'm good. We won with poorly educated. I love the poorly educated. Wonderful people the poorly educated.

Agree 100% on black on black murder rates and the mindset of the hood. It's ridiculous. Some of these punk kids will kill anyone. Don't know enough about Giuliani/NY before him(other than that it was baaaaad), so I defer. I'm honestly getting tired of all this black sh!t...I'm in a bit of a conundrum...

There is a lower valuation of life in poor communities, and the community expects & accepts that.
Like, if "jamarcus" from the Baltimore slums makes it past 18 years old, it's a success. That's such a horrible and sad way to look at life, but it's their reality. Change needs to come from with-in.

 

I taught in a black inner-city school for three years, 7/8th grades. relatively small in terms of class size, but absolutely atrocious in terms of behaviour/poverty level/etc.

4 of my former students were killed, several others shot.

But the "black-on-black" story has a corollary story for all races. Are some races worse than others?? Sure, most probably. But it is a human story, not just a racial one. Solutions are only obtained when seen through a prism of objectivity, not the highly charged emotional pathway WE (including myself) all take, at times.
Sometimes our humor and kidding around blurs the issues.
