Surfer Missing In SC

so i heard this interview of this lady who did some saltwater distance swim for like 2 days straight. she had a team in a boat and she had divers watching for sharks. she said they had these beacons that spit out electrical pulses and sharks didnt like them and generally stayed away. it wouldn't deter a bull shark that just got served divorce papers, but its a general deterrent. when tf are they gonna make little beacons to stick on your board??
