I don't know how "genuine" Trump's trip to Detroit was, and I don't really care. At this point, everything coming from both sides of the aisle is purely political show.

But, at least he showed up. And that took some serious balls. Not for anything Trump has ever said or did against the African American community (because he hasn't), but because that very same community has been indoctrinated to both revile him, and blindly vote straight-ticket Democrat.

Trump campaigning in Detroit is akin to Hildebeast showing up to a Klan rally in Birmingham...except she lacks the balls and conviction to actually show up.

 

Yeah I'm in sales, and have been for almost 20 years, so my BS meter is pretty solid, but even I can be sold I suppose. Like IBC, I understand the skepticism, and I still have some of that myself, but something tells me he isn't doing all this for the wrong reasons. He doesn't need this crap, he's got more money than he'll ever need. He could easily be sitting on an island somewhere sipping Mai Tai's.

 

I'm with you. He doesn't need the money. Or the headaches that come with the job. I've been in sales that long as well and it seems almost too obvious that he's just trying to sell whatever audience is in front of him.

In my opinion he just wants to be El Jefe and he'll do what ever he has to do to get there... He constantly talks about winning( when the polls wee in his favor, now he says they are BS)... I really think that's all he cares about...

No doubt he is selling, and no doubt he is trying to win, can't blame him for that. No sense in running if you don't want to win. He's a businessman, and that won't change because he's running for president. He going to do what he has to do to win. It's campaigning, it's a required process to get in office. But I think once the election is over, he can stop selling and start getting things done.

 

I hope so. I don't think he'll get the chance, but if he does I hope you're right.
