I used to hang out with some kid Richie. He was from AP and don't think he really ever skated before the park opened up. Usually skated with him every Saturday and Sunday - he showed me the blue pool, so fun!

That place was sick. Went up there for a contest in the mid 90s. They had that flybox setup as you walked in tucked next to the vert ramp. Punk shows going on and skating that setup the night we arrived, taking turns seeing who could get high enough to break tiles out of the ceiling since it was lower there. Fun trip.

Skated that place religiously for a year and a half. A great time in my life. Would go after work 4-5 times a week and skate till closing. More often than not, there were only 2-3 other people skating, and a lot of times I would have the whole place to myself, bar a few little kids.
I got hung up in the bowl doing a krail slide. Fell on my hip in the flats. Cracked helmet, dislocated femur.
After I healed the place was shut down, and I didn't skate it after that. Personally I couldn't handle the dust in there.
Ended up building a sweet mini in my buddy's garage after that and skated that for a few more years until he moved.
Since then I haven't skated at all cept for a few times at a couple public park's.
I'm too old to deal with crowds and slamming at my age hurts alot more than it did then.
But if I had a spot I wouldn't hesitate building another mini.

I got a nice open container summons having a few cold ones outside the old casino before a concert at the Pony, back in college. Freaking summer pigs...

I'm originally from Italy, but moved to West End when I was a kid. I'll be 47 in Dec.
I'm not mean, just having fun trolling. Sorry if I hurt your Golden Butt.
Like Stank said, this is a locker room where shyt gets slung around.

3 blocks away. My good friend and former owner of Moceans works there.
I always had a hard time finding a good line in that bowl.

Support the Asbury Park Skate Foundation
Their goal is for a permanent cement park in AP
The bowl in the carosel building won't last.
