It is not so much that Erika is too far West or South, it is that she is pretty weak sauce right now. We'll see what happens when she gets closer to us.

this thing looks like it's going to grind its way up nice and slow. probably going to give the obx a ton of swell. doesn't look like nj will get much of it.
Probably Not It's now looking like this storm is going to take a westerly track, hit the mountains of Hispaniola and die out...5 out of 6 models are forecasting a less than optimal track and strengthening pattern, hopefully the outlier turns out to be right...
Drove down from Jersey 2 weeks ago for Bill, then a surprising Danny, and now a possible lady coming through, I just can't leave (other then a short excursion to VB to check out the ECSC - kudos Rob Kelly) I'm back in OBX and been living of Piping plovers that taste like chicken, drinking rain water with a twist of juniper and camping where the man can't find me (even got lucky with two chicks who somehow find this lifestyle endearing...This is ridiculous, I gotta get a real job; right? lol, I love surfing, it's all the reason you need...F*** it might as well stay broke and stoked!
