Of course there are people braking the law. What he did WAS illegal and he was arrested... But that doesn't mean a real Dr. shouldn't be allowed to save a woman's life in a dire situation.
Save the woman yes, if she is dying, of course... but does that require killing a baby that is 9 months and soon to be delievered? Can't they attempt to save both? My nephews were 2 months premature and still made it, at 9 months they have a great chance. Adopt them out if the woman dies and no father or family member to take them in.
Is some cases it might be required yes. And like I said, the baby may be brain dead from the accident as well.. I know it sounds extreme, but that is the kind of sh!t the law is for
I understand your point of view. However, I happen to firmly believe people like Dr. Carson (a pediatric neurosurgeon) when they state that in today's modern society with all of our advanced medical technology, that situations like what your describing are now virtually non-existent.
Lawyers have you guys talking about the minutia of law regarding abortion. That should be a side issue, if at all. The real issue, the central point, is that no matter at what "trimester" an abortion is done, it is homicide. You are ending a life. Life is a continuity; disruption of that continuity sucks. The USA should hold a plebiscite on the issue--yes or no. No male should be allowed to vote; females only. Transgenders can go fvck themselves (instead of kill themselves, regrettably).
I believe you do what you can to save both. If it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out, but at least you tried to do the right thing. Last night it was Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest, but this morning it's just water. +1 This is what i'm talking about NYNJ. I tend to agree with you but there are circumstances that I think are understandable, rape victims and incest being a couple exceptions.
Of course it's rare and my not be exactly how I described, but there are instances when you have to make a decision, wife or baby. I hope nobody ever has to make that decision, but it is a decision the family should be allowed to make.
That's what's funny. I didn't actually mean to get in to this debate. I personally don't give a fu*k and wouldn't vote for someone because of their stance on abortion. I do think it should be up to the woman to choose, but I don't really don't give that much of a fu*k. I was just saying I think it was a mistake for the Donald to say push pro life with the segment of the population he was trying to sway last night
Honestly, I don't think he's worried too much about that segment because he probably realizes there is nothing he can say to win their vote, most of them at least. He was making sure to keep the votes he already had and also simply standing up for what he believes in.
Ben Carson quote “As a physician who does not believe in abortion, when faced with a patient who has severe medical problems, I would refer someone for an abortion,”
He should care. He won't with with just his current votes... But I guess he could have been targeting the bible thumpers that may not be on his side and choosing not to vote at all.
I think there is a difference between this and someone deciding they don't want the baby or don't think they can take care of it and getting a shady doctor to say it was an emergency and getting the abortion for the wrong reasons.
I think he probably has a lot more votes locked up than you think. The media and the polls are BS, so I don't think he's doing as bad as they claim. It's gonna be interesting to see how this turns out. Did the DNC and media do enough to fix this thing or will he overcome the odds in a landslide popular vote. Time will tell.
Maybe they are. But the polls are always BS when he's losing. When they are positive for him they are great
But you are saying that this person shouldn't get to choose, because someone else may break the law. Again. It's like saying nobody should have guns because some shady guy may be selling them on the corner
