Sweet Cpt Ron. I've got a flight to Seattle right after work (M-F 8-5) on Friday. If you are there for a sunrise session, then i'm in - i think... Matthew is gonna rip apart the Carolinas and that storm is gonna be there on the sidelines Friday, from what the models are indicating. But who knows, that storm might cancel my flight honestly
Thought this pic might lighten the mood on this here site. This is what my boart rack looked like when I went to condo this weekend. I use 'em all, sometimes at the same time, but the arm floaties and the turtle tube are my go tos.
The optical illusion caused by the ground slope makes the boards in the middle look to be close to the same length. Hard to tell which is the gun in your quiver.
is that a body bort or finless surfboart on the tippy top? only one i can't really tell. one highly pressurized quiver rack, but i dig the selection. they all offer sumtin for anyone that the mutha ocean can provide
The top board is my son's "creation." It's a... err... speed egg. He calls it green eggs and headache. He made it by peeling the glass off an old board, cutting it down to size and re-glassing it, and putting three fcs fin plugs in it. It's upside down. He can surf it pretty well. Yeah... a boart for any occasion and pretty much any level.
Sharp Eyes are great boards. Marcio shapes all my boards. Got 4 new Epoxy's coming in the next 3 weeks. SUPER light OK, Sole, Disco 2 & Holy Toledo - We had our first run of NW Swells in San Diego starting last Friday. It's been really fun!
DSUP, as you requested, this is my G&S Egg, set up as a quad + 1. The quad fins I have need to be replaced by larger ones. I was just looking at FCS HI x-larges to give me control in larger waves. The board is 7'10 and was custom made for me. For summer waves here in NH it is ideal for a guy my age, to prevent too much going to long boards.
Nice Barry, If it were me, I would prob end up riding it as a single most of the time but I like the option in case you wanna switch it up. Bet it zooms on a lined up wave.
Right now I have it set up with 2+1, center fin 7" with side bites. Works extremely well with that arrangement, and it does "zoom" on good waves!! Anyway, we have a nice swell firing this morning, but I am waiting another hour for tide to pull back, AND for air temps to get out of the low 30s. That is one of the advantages of retirement. Probably the ONLY one LOL!!
I'm a Walden fan and since I fell in love with them and have begun to acquire quite a collection.
