    TOP DEFINITION

    Wyatting

Very recently the practice of deliberately selecting annoying or extreme music on an mp3 jukebox to cause irritation to others has become known as Wyatting. This is a reference to prog/artrock musician Robert Wyatt and his 'Dondestan' album, typical of the kind of record a Wyatter would choose. It is generally agreed that the most effective music for Wyatting is that of US avant-garde quasi-operatic vocalist Diamanda Galas. Other common choices include the most well known exponents of free-jazz, improv/noise music and euro-prog-metal, though the latter is chosen because it is considered naff, uncool and embarassing, not because it has the effect normally required of music regarded as good for Wyatting.
Some idiot's Wyatting, this is the second no-wave record in a row.

I'll give Flo a pass, as she is bored out of her gourd nursing that leg problem.

BTW, learned something new regarding "O & O".. so you can teach an ol' dog new tricks.

    Mercy triumphs over judgment.

Lou Reed's "Metal Machine Music" would be at the top of my list for clearing out a room with some horrific music. Any track will do. Oh wait...it was a double album with only one track.

Ha! I actually played that this summer at the beach to make some tourons give me some space!
When I was throwing parties in college and I wanted to get rid of uninviteds, I would throw on some Residents or the Shaggs.
Friends knew and would wait for the unwanted guests to leave. Funny though, I actually made some friends by playing room clearing music because they had the same obnoxious albums.

    Old school rules.

A good slap upside the head in some instances is mercy if it is preemptive of future foolishness.

Btw, this issue of "wyatting " is another consideration. I was speaking of the "correct-a-matic" functionality.

lol....my sense of humor can easily get lost upon others (making it all the more entertaining, lol)...commonly referred to as gallows, dark and/or black humor...certainly fights an eternity of boredom and pain...;)

^...it's frustrating, but I try not to complain...

Sampled and agreed, but sometimes it is necessary to temporarily clear a room...that stated, I have always flittered from one to another with music, considering it important to do so. My mother's music was restrained, and so she ensured mine was not (also why she stuck me in ballet at age three)...I quickly bore...

I do like this, just as it is, and also imagining renditions to it (why I quoted those commenting upon it)...cool song.

Here's an obscure one from the early 70s. Female lead guitarist rips.
