Jesus Christ, this thread is still going. "Hey man, I listen to a more obscure band than you." "Nah, dude, my bands are more unknown and ****ty than yours." "Yeah dude, punk rock. The ..Lost videos said in order to be cool surfers, even though we are republicans, we have to listen to punk rock. It makes us edgy. ****ing hardcore, man." You guys ever heard of Robyn? Dude, blast some Robyn when you pull into the parking lot after your 8-hour journey to the beach. You'll freaken own the place, brahs. Do you know what it takes to love me. Start sporting some 80's fashions and a 1987 surfer haircut. Don't forget your TFL power gloves. You'll paddle faster.
This is the "Robin" I love, while I am highly selective with what I will listen to of his: I did notice one user had posted one of Trower's, way back in the thread (can't recall who).
Yeah, Trower is pretty good--I was first "exposed" to his music in the 1960s when he played with Procol Harem.
You were exposed, prior to my exposure. It' one of my much older brother's, once again, that I would hear over and over again, like so very many others...
He played a song called Whiskey Train with Procol Harem, which was awesome. Conquistador was good also, but he had left PH by then, on to his own thing.
You have me picking through Trower...always takes me a bit to get into him... LOVE the solo in this one...
and I was sidetracked...
and the drum solo after the 6min mark...i LOVE it!
Here's a version by Concrete Blond with nice background pix/visuals:
Nice background? Looks like professional cinematography to me. Like others, I have never had social media accounts (edit: other than a few forums), but it looks like the user has uploaded only four videos. That was nice! When I was at the wildlife refuge early this year photographing the eaglets and all, I learned that state wildlife management (I was up north) were placing miniature helcams on the parents and tracking them...guess that is what they did within the video. I love geese. Did a rescue a few years ago of some rare pilgrim geese at a state park...took a few weeks...CO2 net gun, diving into the lake afterwards...could have made a film of that, but we were too busy. I did manage some of what I believe to be some of my favorite photographs. I had many conversations with the director of this place in the process (proper ID, etc). https://livestockconservancy.org/index.php/heritage/internal/pilgrim no idea why the link fails.
The ganders have beautiful blue eyes.
Yeah and that too. God's creatures are indeed fascinating and awesome. BTW, I figured out the correct link to the pilgrim geese: https://livestockconservancy.org//heritage/internal/pilgrim Thanks for sharing.
