There are still fish out there if you're in to fishing.

I was thinking this yesterday. Can't remember the last Thanksgiving there wasn't waves. Past few years we had not just waves, but solid waves. I might have to paddle around in the flatness just because i don't know what else to do on Thanksgiving but to surf.

Yea I rent a house in a beach town every year way ahead of time and now I host thanksgiving so no more inland trips... Also I love fishing, people know me for fishing and surfing.. hopefully there are some striper blitzes.. already have all my rods and gear packed up and freshly lubed... I'm still bringing a log and a groveller just in case... and Kanmann for sure... just waiting for a day off and some swell...

I love it when it is flat on holidays and weekends. All the babies start whining and wondering if they should sell their gear. Then, if the surf shoots up on Monday or Tuesday, even better. It is a pleasure of retirement!!!
    Soooooo.....BBRRRRRRRRRRRPPPPPPPPPP!!!!
Now get back to work today--you all need to pay my Social Security!!!!

ps....just trying to stir the pot. Sounds like you are all either asleep or viewing sloflos millionth video.....

oh yea, i already did my shopping on craigslist for turkey day. like you said, a lot of ppl trying to sell their sht for cheap, especially ones who are inland who have no business with a surfboard - assuming they live there year round. got my eyes on a couple $50 shorties. tho i'm also looking into a surf trip asap to get me out of this flat spell rut

Mine is booked and coming up soon. This time, my wife is coming along, so I will rent a board; my wife always needs help with her luggage.

I love holiday struggling non surfer surf gear sales... I got a kechele board with everything track pad, leash, fins for 50 bucks off some rich guy in rehab who thought he could just start surfing on a thruster shortboard...lol. Thing was almost perfect condition.

Thanksgiving is early this year. Mother nature is always on time and it'll pump the last week of November. Best bet for cold, frothy, thumpers will be the Dirty Jerz count on it.

    Yep -
Looks like the mid atlantic is gonna get hooked up right after the weekend....its a long way off, but looks promising for a decent northeast swell/offshore wind Monday, then a south swell for midweek.

Of course. Just in time for me to be back behind my desk, spinning in circles in my office chair 'till I vomit.
