Quit my job as a police officer today. I no longer want to be a community scapegoat for the racial divide and social problems that people have created for themselves. I have said this before and said it with conviction, everyone has ****ing problems, it's what you do with them and how you handle them that determines your character.

I'm joining the coast guard as Maritime Enforcement as a start of a second career. Go off to boot in January. So between now and then, I am going to surf, sleep, **** anything that moves, and shoot a lot of deer.

First congrats--I made that decision as well long ago. Fvck "society", they are a woman!!

Speaking of women, as you do above, stay away from my home, my wife, my daughter, my 3 month granddaughter!
    You pervert you!!!

And have fun as a Coastie!! Wish I had joined them long ago!!

The Coasties out here get a lot of surf and are fairly respected, you will be stoked after you pay your dues.

Don't know where you were a LEO, but being a Coastie may eventually mean mo' money. A lot of guys with time in service making low six figs.

And, since you are now DHS with prior local LEO experience, you will be easily able to jump to other Fed LE branches like FBI or Secret Service if so inclined.

OTOH, you probably jumped straight from the frying pan into the fire. The Federal government, with all its BS policies and bureaucracy, is nothing like you've experienced before. It's the reason why Postal Workers become what they become.

God luck, I believe you'll enjoy the change.

I will come out of boot as a E-3 thanks to my college credits. And after A school be an E-5 if everything goes the way it's supposed to while in A School. Also the signing bonus is already in my account... #80k

Hmmm, I thought that Coasties were given a General Schedule grade and journeymen were GS-12's. Guess I was wrong (again) lol.

Hoping to be stationed either Wilmington or Florida. I hate the cold and 5-7mm suites. But if I do, I will certainly hit you up!

Congrats! Yeah, being an officer really can be a thank less job. And people wonder why cops can be such assholes... when you constantly deal with trash, you get tired of the stories and bull****. My dad is a retired Chief Warrant Officer, now he's back in as a civilian doing boat inspections. He loves it. Good luck Braap!

If you happen to come across a few kilo's and they happen to not make it in to evidence I may know a guy who may know a guy who can move them
