To surf, ski, mountain bike, or lift every single day in 2017. I don't take New Year's Resolutions all that seriously, I don't think I've ever definitively achieved them, but I like making at least one, usually a few, to use as mental reference points or signposts to guide my life in a direction I want it to go for at least the first few months of the year. This one in particular though, I've been planning for a while and I'm pretty stoked about. I'm pretty curious to see how far into the year I can get before breaking it. I have some pretty OCD tendencies, so I get irrationally motivated by streaks and black-and-white sorts of goals. I figure lifting can be occasionally interpreted creatively if needed to keep the streak going. It will usually mean compound lifts with barbells (got a full rack set up in my basement and legitimately enjoy using it and don't view it as a chore... usually...), but in an emergency could mean throwing my kettlebell in the car on a road trip, or finding a cinder block or other heavy object when needed, or my dog, or my fatass cat, or my wife or daughter, or who knows...
lol I'm with everyone else with never making one.il be the same azzhole I was next week that I am now lol. however I do want to join a gym and shed some pounds,if that counts idk lol
upgrade my shaping shed into something a bit more functional and make a few good boards. Go to Peru this coming spring. Drink less get my right shoulder into shape. It's so tore up i feel like every time I surf I set healing back further.
Maintain a more positive attitude. Attitude is everything. Take better care of myself. I'm not a young man anymore. Go to church. Play/practice more music. Work on my German. Run 6 half marathons this year.
