I can't find the thread Lants started, so prease, let's continue. This is what it's all about and what we should discuss more. LBCrew- The way you compressed the 4 stages of flow into the time frame serf session was amazing. I couldn't comment at the time and wanted to really bad. That was fkn righteous and I agree wholeheartedly. Lants, peep this video a feller sweller posted a whilst back. kpd, if you're out there, stay righteous amigo. that dude was so right on and he must have also smoked some killer indica before he recorded the voiceover. Music was on point too. That made me want to get a few.

I didn't read the first threade because I was in exile. So I'm just gonna jump in and say whatever I think it might have been about: Flow: cruising down a freshly paved Vermont road along a river on a wicked fast (skate) longboard and smelling that nostalgic summer air mixed with concrete smell that puts me right back in 95 in StavenCT. Getting a deep gangster lean on my turns. Flow: picking that baby up when she's losing her ****, throwing on Weakerthans' Reconstruction Site and dancing her into a coma. Flow: Getting all my bills paid every month by the skin of my teeth. Flow: Being able to walk on any stage anywhere anytime and being able to do crowd work comedy for 30 minutes. Flow: Getting baked in the winter and playing the keyboard or guitar for hours Flow: skiing Lastly, this marmot:
^^^video I posted in OP. For myself, actitivities that have induced flow state include riding waves, grappling/mma, throwing steel, and plant/fungal based tryptamines.
Surfing induces flow for sure. I also find long walks, jogs, runs, bike rides, hitting the bag, shooting pool, bowling, video games, and pretty much anything that gets me to focus can induce flow.
Wu Ji Tai chi, catching a beautiful oil glass green wall and going right into the setting sun, working my kinjitsu forms outside and freaking out the neighbors. Taking a deep breath through the nose on a hike during a summer rainstorm and just smelling overwhelming life. Watching my daughters face when I light the Christmas tree Lights. Watching her grow into someone amazing. Looking up at the 1 am sky in Vermont in January and seeing the Milky Way and hearing that roaring silence reminding me how small I really am - but how lucky.
