It's the principle man. And if our leaders really wanted to, we could drone the fock out of the majority of terrorist strongholds. But they need terrorists.

How did you come to that conclusion based on my comment? Go back to sleep Frost lol

You must be referring to the DNC when you speak about "our leaders", because sh*ts about to change with our "leaders", after 8 years of failure.

So let me as you this. Are you OK with debating politics on here now?

I have always been torn on the legalization of the herbs. On the one hand, quality and accessibility is pretty good without legalization and it is relatively inexpensive. Would legalizing change any of this??? more expensive, less quality? maybe accessibility is the plus and blazing wherever you would like too!!!

Legislators want the taxes generated for hookers and booze. They care not about your health.

It's all about decriminalization. But it would be nice to grow in the backyard.

Your first comment...Ok, we'll see. Time will tell.

Your questionne, for the mostly, no, but I might not be able to restrain myself from acknowledging idiocy.

Well you see, this I believe is where the issue really lies. You and others on your side of the isle want to dictate when it is and isn't OK to discuss politics on a surfing forum, depending on whether the discussion fits your agenda or not.

You can't have it both ways. Either you're OK with political discussion or you're not. Based on your history of protesting political threads by posting porn to get them locked (which did not work), I would think that you would refrain from engaging in any political debate to prevent portraying yourself as a hypocrite to your many followers on here. You wouldn't want that would you?

I'm not trying to be a d*ck but you made a big stink about it and yet, here you are!

can confirm, having lived in CO for three years after it became legal there. better on average (yeah I know, everyone in every state thinks they have a source that gets it from a grower who's sh!t is on par with the best stuff in CO and CA and OR, I don't wanna hear it...), much cheaper, and any and all stress relating to legal risks when buying it, driving with it, or carrying it on your person are GONE. while living in a state where it's illegal is a very minimal impediment on a day to day basis, it is impossible to overstate the peace of mind that comes with having, literally, a 0% chance of being arrested if you're pulled over and the car is searched, for example (assuming you're not actually under the effects). this is probably magnified for those of us in careers where arrest would mean automatic loss of job and no hope of another in that field, but the difference is significant, moreso than you would think till you've lived there.

all this according to friends and former neighbors, of course. I don't do drugs, they're bad for your body! up with hope, down with dope!

I don't think he was protesting the political aspect as much as to nastiness from both sides. I don't think Sheldonne has an issue with a discussion, but he does have an issue when he sees his homies attacking each other on a personal level over their political beliefs.
You can disagree with someone and still be respectful. But when your response to a thought you disagree with is "you're a bigot" or "you're a jobless loser living in your moms basement" it gets ridiculous...

I could be wrong, but I think that's what SS's issue was

Sheldon should be the one to answer this, but I thank you for your input NYNJ. I don't disagree with you that the discussion shouldn't get nasty like you describe, but SS himself just said that there is "idiocy that he cannot restrain himself from acknowledging". Such a statement suggests that he believes he is intellectually superior to someone with an opposing point of view, which is exactly the type of "attack" that you are referring to.

So if this is truly his problem with political discussion, then maybe he should heed his own advice and not attack someone else for their political belief by calling them an idiot or by calling out their "idiocy" as he describes. Again, the hypocrisy is what I take issue with.

You know, I find it ironic that the people who are always preaching tolerance, have zero tolerance for people who have beliefs opposed to their own. Irony & hypocrisy, F'ng A...

I can't speak for SS but this is where I have a problem with these treads. Unfortunately most internet discussion along these lines tends to devolve into that area. To me, once somebody starts with the name calling shiit they have lost the argument in my eyes. It implies that you know your position is weak and you're just lashing out in defense.

You guys have problems with these threads but you're always there to participate. Makes no sense.

Oh and btw guys, the reason I started this thread was not to debate politics. If you go back and read my OP it's all about the fact that there are morons in the back of the room that are getting tossed because they are being disruptive with racism, name calling, yelling, and just being major distractions while they are trying to conduct the hearings. I thought it was entertaining and figured others were watching what I was watching and were laughing too. A thread intended to be fun, turned negative.

If you re-read the thread it's clear that the negativity, condescension and accusations were brought on by you dudes. I'm just simply calling it how I see it.
