Intro Thread

Just noticed that I am at post 49, so for post 50 I am going to man up and do an intro thread. Here goes…

I’m a 40-year-old social studies teacher. The Swell Info forum has been a source of entertainment for the past few years.

Lived on a barrier island on the Gulf Coast of Florida growing up. Then found myself on islands as an undergraduate (Maine) and in grad school (Puerto Rico). Now I am basically landlocked in the mid-Atlantic although I still manage to surf whenever it looks good and I am not working.

My wife is Venezuelan. If you want pics just Google hot Venezuelan wife and you've basically got the idea. No Hindus. All good at home.

I’ve got dogs and kids. When the kids graduate high school the plan is to get on an island again somewhere tropical that is not ruled by a dictator or drug lords.

More liberal than conservative but I have friends that voted Trump and I am not a hater. I believe in democracy and feel that the pendulum swings left and right as a check on power. I have my fingers crossed that the next four years are what the country needed.

Oh, no idea how much I can bench. I don't like gyms and prefer to be outside.

What did I miss?

 

Sure, both at times. Especially 7th period. Much nicer and less moronic in the morning after a good nights sleep.

No killing people--animals yes. Once killed a mouse with a Kleenex box in my classroom and plenty of fish.

No comment on the herb in case this ever comes back to me.

When I am proctoring tests I definitely have had some head nods. Not full on sleep though.
