That's how it turned out happening. But it could have gone down differently... I guess, using that logic, next time there an attack they should just check boat in backyards

Does anyone have information on where the revenue from this movie is going? I haven't seen any sort of information on proceeds going towards survivors. As far as I can tell, they exploited this tragedy and Mark Wahlberg created a character for himself that had nothing to do with the actual events so everyone could make a quick buck.

Just like the collection of all private emails, phone calls, digital transactions, etc fails to stop terror attacks.
Privacy and freedom is privacy and freedom.
Violent prisoners escape from prison all the time and pose serious threats to public safety. Large scale man hunts ensue yet no one's rights and the Constitution are not violated.
But your smarter and more qualified than Benjamin Franklin to determine that in this instance that it was necessary.
    YEWWESSAYY!!!

I'm not saying you are brainwashed. There are a lot of people who see it as just helping and I can understand that. We just have to be careful by not voicing our opinion against this type of martial law especially when it's violating rights. You start crossing that line and it's dangerous. Then, they think they can just start using martial law in other situations. I'm also curious if they even reimbursed people for damage to their property, I highly doubt it.

    The Totalarian tiptoe.
Just like when it was revealed that the government was spying on us the excuse was, "If you're not doing anything wrong, so what."
Just like Towelle feeling safe with military on the streets, yet helpless to defend himself.
Just like when they disarmed responsible gun owners and forced them from their homes during Katrina.
NYNJ doesn't get it. History repeats itself. When Gov gets too big it always turns tyaranical. That's the whole meaning of 1776 and why this republic is so special and its founding fathers wrote the Bill of Rights and the Constitution as such.

I do get. You don't. You want to act all scared and say, bu bu bu now the cops are going to do this all the time... But it's just you being paranoid. It was an extreme situation and was handled accordingly.

Wrong, people unnecessarily died, and rights were violated.

Manhunts ensue an escaped prisoner because they are on the run. But I guess if the prisoner wanted to get away he should just go in to someones home.. And when the cops come have the homeowner say, you can't come in.
I'm certainly not smarter the Ben Franklin, but I'd like to hear more about the personal discussions you had with him about how handle a terrorist that blew up civilians, shot cops and was hiding in a residential neighborhood.

Plus if I was going to be a cynical douche canoe and talk to someone about their intelligence I'd be sure to get a hang of the your/you're thing.

    Capitalism has betrayed you all.

    I'm pooping right now.

Nobody with 10 million dollars is a good person.

When discussing sex in a redneck voice, I refer to the act as a "cooter slap", and I refer to sluts as "slap coot Willy"

    Those are facts.
