Wrong again archy. Companies are more prosperous with global trade agreements, Trump wants to re- write those so American wokers can have those jobs. Socialism takes on many forms and Trump's just happens to be a 2017 version of that. To even think that american companies under a protectionist environment will prosper is laughable. But what should one except from a Trump supporting moron.

 

President Trump wishes to give American citizens the advantage in trade, as opposed to the former president's desire to give the advantage to all others beyond our borders.

Regarding your statement about companies being more prosperous with global trade agreements, I ask you to consider, just as one of countless possibilities, an American artist whom creates and sells his or her own work to other Americans. Your statement, then, makes absolutely no sense, of course.

I see no need to address the rest of your statement, being that it is, how do I say, incoherent.

Yep. I'm always at a loss at people that are unemployed in some deadbeat town, when you can move to New Hampshire, South Dakota, Hawaii... where employment rates are sub 3% and thousands of jobs are left wanting. If I was unemployed and had a family to support, I'd pack 'em in the van and move to wherever I could find a decent job. I have a friend who owns a plastics molding business, and the biggest risk to his business right now is the inability to find employees.

5. Please deny that the pharmaceutical industry isn't largely to blame for the new wave opiate problem we have. Plenty of docs went down for being script happy and when the clampdown on pain meds started the damage had done and a patient population switched to street heroin. Lots of Veterans went down that path too.

6. Marijuana is awesome because it's awesome. "Drugs" drugs have plenty of medicinal benenfits. MDMA therapy is in stage tgeee for intensive one time therapy sessions. Lots of people getting help. Better than a lifetime of anti depressants and a soft cock.

7. Not making meds that are not profitable for rare diseases is a dark element of the field. Maybe some regulation, maybe some government research, maybe a little of the S word to help end human suffering?

9. You're showing your age if you think tattooed people are disease bags! I can say with certainty that all my diseases came from hookers and not tattoos. What about the many tattooed doctors, scientists, and medical professionals? Most people have a few tattoos.

10. Does the pharm industry not seek to suppress or invalidate unprofitable alternative treatment or medications that can't be patented?

11. Can you proudly explain to your granddaughter that some people die because they can't afford medicine but some people have five houses, and when she asks why they don't share, you tiptoe around why it's important to be a good person but money is more important.

12. For fear of sounding like a conspiracy guy, there's some pretty solid accounts of cure research being thwarted for cancer and HIV. When the patents run out for treatment meds I'm sure the cure will come around.

I'll stop now. Because I have to listen to this from someone who has the highest degree attainable in the field from one of the best schools on the country complain about it every day.

 

No man nor woman can help it if they were blessed with desirable attributes; thus, you should consider that, in my humble opinion. I have had many dear atheist and agnostic friends over the years, and it is interesting that as they age, more times than not, they become more open to things in which they refused to consider in their youth. President Trump's soul will be judged by God, not by you, nor by me, just as your soul will be one day, as well.

 

So, why don't all the hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of unemployed minorities in our big cities do the same thing? Just up and leave to go work in plastics molding? Maybe they can't afford a van, car, or bus ticket to take their families to greener pastures. Or maybe they just don't want to. Easier to suckle at the government tweet wouldn't you say?
And all the jobs left places like Erie, Allentown, and Reading PA DECADES ago. LBJ's great society created a whole culture of dead towns and cities who live off handouts

 

Thank you!! Somebody actually gets it! There are plenty of jobs, and we sure as hell don't need to re-write trade deals for those unwilling to better themselves on their own.

 

Last time, I do not give a crap about American workers, not one bit. Companies should be able to employ whomever they want and at the cheapest cost. The cheaper the better actually as it makes what I buy cheaper. Sorry if my capitalism offends you.

I am not easily offended; so, you should get that silly notion out of your head, and with a quickness. I cannot help it if you do not give a cr@p about American workers. I always cared greatly for my employees, subcontractors, etc., and such makes a great difference in productivity, which results in higher profits, hence, higher wages, benefits, etc. Your perspective seriously taints your ideal regarding capitalism. I would elaborate, but I had little sleep, last night.

I also have a dear friend whom wears a pair, when he types, and he is a robotic programmer. He takes contracts, works for a few months, takes a few months off, and then he accepts another contract.
