I'm jealous of you Florida guys. Even when there's no surf, at least you're not freezing your balls off. Well, MOST of the time you're not. I know there's cold spells there. It's been an above average Winter there. I guess it has up here too. But above average up here is like 45-50 degree days in January. I was travelling to some very cold places in Canada for work. When I got back to Jersey, it felt like I could almost put some shorts on haha. After being in 5 degrees (that's fahrenheit!) for a few days. I turn on the TV at night and all I see are commercials for Fort Lauderdale and the Florida Keys and the Bahamas and the Carribean. So much blue balls! Those commercials have always been shown all Winter up here, every year since I was a kid.

I need something Sunday afternoon. Got a friend coming through town for a very quick trip. A friend from California, who misses Jersey surfing (sarcasm of course) so much! Looks like nothing in the afternoon but victory at sea.

I'm not sure whether to post this in the "has been" or 'hasn't been" surfing thread. I paddled out in Delaware this morning and spent two hours paddling around thinking this swell must have a few chest high sets left in it. Not around here....super weak.

Clean offshore conditions this morning, waist - chest with bigger inconsistent sets. Current was going and the peak kept shifting. Not my best session but still got some fun rides, just never really got in a rhythm. Gorgeous warm morning, I can't believe I'm trunking it in mid - late January.

Let's clear this up right now.

If you paddled out, you went surfing.

"Not surfing" consists of posting uninformed political BS on a surfing forum, including how much you bench press or what type of stupid focking music you listen to.

    Any questions?

We paddled out today for gorgeous waist to chest high pretty clean long interval waves. I got my best ride of the day today. I nailed a chest high wave just right. My board with moving so fast I felt like I was flying.

Valhalla was out there today, and I spotted him taking a wonderful drop and gliding across the wave like a pro. He is modest. I would say his skills have come up a few more notches. And he is a Friend of my crew :)

We celebrated another birthday on the beach during a break. Life is good.

true...the BSing (thankfully non-political) took place in the water while waiting for sets that mostly didn't come. Aaand.....included one nugget that might just get this forum buzzing.

Hit every where today. Started at the the place we shall not name, had fun and not crowded. Left there and went to 12th street for about half an hour. Left there and went to 45th street, deer had more size than 12th. Stayed for about an hour and a half then went to the inlet. I'm not even sure why I paddled out there. Still a fun day

I have a feeling Tuesday is gonna be off-the-hook there, based on the current forecast. Big 4-6 foot combo swell with mostly NE energy and some SE mixed in, straight offshore wnw breeze to groom up the a-frames, late morning low tide. SO amped.

Curious what this big low does and how it "goes off". Last one was a bit N of us for the goods and good wind. Tuesday does seem to be setting up with good wind for outer banks. North of bay looks to get real good as you say. This is the kind where I just drop everything to surf,,,

2-3 and clean this morning with air temps that felt in the 50's. Not too shabby for a Saturday in January in NJ.

It was really fun today....Got out mid morning, by mid afternoon with the incoming tide it was O.H. and offshore winds, super hollow....what a barrel fest. Have not seen waves like this in a while....spoiled now....haha.
