can't wait til they make leashes that don't freak me out thinking there's a 40' giant octopus below me whenever it brushed by my leg/foot. damm you 20,000 Leagues under the Sea
i think 10' leashes are too long, even for longboards. i'd say 6' for a shorty, and 8' for any longer board. otherwise, you're gonna wind up tangled which ultimately will lead to death if that giant squid doesn't get ya
I keep my leash the same length as my LB so I can get on the nose. So for my 9' LB I have a 9' leash. For my 8'1" I have an 8' leash. All of my SB's have 6' leashes.
Yeah man, can't have a leash shorter than the board. I have enough problems trying to get to the nose, I don't need an 8 foot leash tripping me up too!
If you need to wear a leash on a long borte ( crowds, rocks,) the calf leash is actually a pretty good pick. Thought they were stupid until trying one. Makes a difference. Slips down sometimes though. otherwise go without.
Dakine on two boartes... Some leash from a British company that my son bought me on my go to 3rd. I hate the thin stretchy leashes. I have a Freak comp. leash that has gotten me legge whipped more than once. I'm just to cheap and lazy to buy another or switch leashes.
The calf leash can also be strapped to one's neck and used to kill urslef! I use a calf leash so I can pretend to cross step up the board.
