I lived off my savings for two years and sank all my salary in the school employee 457b/403c, maxed out with the ability to go above and beyond because of an over 50 age catchup addition. It is all in the s&p 500, has protections against great loss, and i pay zero, yes it is true, i repeat zero fees. I thought since this is as yet untaxed income, i get to put it atraight in before taxes i made a pretty good decision. Sounds like a plan? Yankee, you guys are great.
