Dropped everything and full on lived the dream. Then last week the bank account got drained and it was time to come home.

There ain't no airports in Belmar bruh! Well except for Allaire airport or whatever the hell it's called these days. That one off of route 34 in Wall Township. Just a 10-15 minute drive from Belmar! If you can find a flight into their that isn't on some little Cessna or something. You seriously moved to Indonesia for a year? NICE! My friend and former roommate from years ago, moved to Jamaica (I think that's where he went) a couple years ago. Now he rides some kind of boat that he does tours on. Seems like a great life, although he did it after leaving his wife (who was supporting him while he was a stay at home dad) and then 8 year old daughter back in Jersey. I get texts from him sometimes of pretty nice waves and hockey related sh!t talking messages when the Devils play the Bruins, since he still follows hockey down there. Seems pretty nice though. Good on you though! If you ever get a chance like that, I figure, why not take it? I don't advocate walking out on your family though, like my douchebag friend did.
That's seriously the worst thing you can do. Not the getting divorced part but bailing on an 8 year old to follow your bliss or whatever. Suck it up, grind out 10 years in NJ and then go south. Or take your kid with you, whatever. Anyways, a year in Indo is some 'Barbarian Days' level stuff. Nicely done.
I think the daughter is in much better hands with the mother than him taking her down there. Obviously she'd be better off if he hadn't left though. I'm not defending what he did and I'm not on his side in that case, he's a douchebag.
