oh snap, gonna add this to my aussie vocab right after legge rope and crikey. learn some new errryday. you come from the land down under?
No just spent a few months down there years ago and still have friends there. Sure is shorter than writing afternoon. Lazy!
I go to a yoga class twice a week with my wife until track season, which is now. (I coach) I sometimes have my track team do a yoga for athletes video when it's raining. The group classes actually are relaxing once you get used to them. I still go once a week during season. I think three yoga sessions a week would be ideal for me. Side note: When I surf, my wife does a one minute plank every time I catch a wave. Sometimes she is really worn out after I surf, sometimes she just gets bored!
She'd say who the hell was that?! She once saw me tear a wave up and didn't believe it was me until I paddled in....
Yoga, as explained to me is half effort, and half surrender. Effort on the in breath, surrender on the out breath. It works. For me it's half torture, and half relaxation. I always feel great afterwards. The big trick is to remain focused on the breath and stay in the moment, which helps in all facets of living.
I used to do the P90X thing several years ago, it had a yoga program that seemed pretty intense. It was the most difficult one for me to do. Yoga is a b1tch, but has great benefits. I got better as I went and saw results. I prefer other workouts personally though.
