This is the most important question. Address the cause or any other "solution", culling or otherwise, is just a band-aid.

Maybe the sharks have not been trained in methods of "safe sex"??

and I would also venture to say that it will happen here more and more in the future as long as these insane laws on kept on the books...you cant limit one type of fishing and excpect things to balance,,something will tilt the other way
dcoll to the bottom and see if u agree with one shark per boat per day..not per person but per boat
http://www.dnr.sc.gov/regs/saltwaterfish.html on top of a 4 ft + limit...sharks are bound to explode in numbers...

according to Kelly Slater himself, no it's not okay for man to füćk up the ocean

I guess he means "except where I want to surf"

Unless it's about surfing, i don't listen to kelly anymore.

"I'm an Eco Warrior! Buy Purps! Buy Crate n Barrel! Buy Outerknown!"

Meanwhile sells people mass produced, crap surfboards made in Thailand by people who don't surf and endorses GoPro

Yeah, "imbalance" you keep using that word, but I dunna thinka you know ehwhat eet means

Extreme vetting for sharks! Inevitably one shark species would be relocated more frequently than the others so they would be offended

In the summer of 1957 in the West Side's Lincoln Square neighborhood in Manhattan, there is tension between a white American gang, the Jets, led by Riff, and a Puerto Rican gang, the Sharks, led by Bernardo.

This will never happen and you of all people should know it... Puerto Rico is broke.

shyt if u gave me a million dollars and kate upton I still wouldn't paddle out alone in reunion

theres a big difference between that island and the rest of the world.most surfers, normal people go their whole lives without seeing a shark.cali has the red triangle, and great whites are a protected species,u don't see as many attacks happening there.

point is theres multiple food sources for them, seals, dead fish in marinas, etc.on reunion the only thing to eat are people,or go swim 2000 miles away to catch a seal.the attacks will keep coming on that island if they don't do nothing about it.and shark nets are a start, but they had them in capetown sa since the 50s and people been getting attacked since the 50s

I'm with Kelly. Normally I wouldn't but desperate times on that island calls for desperate measures! Something needs to be done. Whether it be nets like they do in South Africa or culling. When sharks make mistakes that's one thing but this seems not the case.

Can't remember where we mentioned the girl surfer attacked in Australia. Anyhow, just read that Australia is considering drum lines to not only bait sharks but it rings off to alert authorities to tag the sharks. Cited Recife, Brazil, as an example of preventing attacks, supposedly reducing by 97% (i didn't see any more stats than just that). They mentioned culling but it was kinda being ratted out as worsening the endangered shark species if not careful
